Why would I feel different? How would banning any sort of weapons bring my loved one back? How would stripping my fellow citizens of their rights to defend themselves from oppression bring my loved one back to me? Why would I compound the evil done to me and my family by robbing people of their rights and putting them in harms way for the same problems?

Slippery slope is not a logical fallacy as long as you dont assume one action MUST lead to another action. My view is that people who support an "scary gun" ban usually also support overall gun bans.
