If this were one of those so-called Liberal universities...

I suspect there'd be ten threads about it by now.

So how about one? Conservative campus INTOLERANCE in the form of Conservative PC!

Liberty University booted an anti-Trump Christian author from campus

"Liberty University, the evangelical Christian college founded by the late political firebrand and Moral Majority leader Jerry Falwell, removed visiting anti-Trump evangelical author Jonathan Martin from its campus and its president announced he would be permanently barred.

Martin, a longtime critic of Liberty University’s close association with the Trump administration, was visiting the Lynchburg, Virginia, campus earlier this week as a guest of Johnnyswim, a band that was performing on campus, and had planned to host a prayer meeting with like-minded students the following morning. Instead, Martin told Vox, armed security guards escorted him out of the backstage area following the show...."

...we all know the standard defenses that conservatives will use for this, so, hey, how about at least a couple of you come up with some novel ones?
Liberty University (also referred to as Liberty or LU) is a private, non-profit Christian research universitylocated in Lynchburg, Virginia, United States. It is classified as a doctoral research university by the Carnegie Classification.

And what does that have to do with the principle of INTOLERANCE?

lol btw this is one of the defenses I predicted in the OP.
The argument HAS ALWAYS revolved around the First Amendment. A public University that takes government money is subject to the First and therefore it is illegal for the university administration to quash speech they don't like. A private university is just that. Private and they can do as they please, just as a business is free to set rules on speech. If you weren't so ignorant, you'd know that.

As for intolerance, the real culprits are the progressives and their hatred of anything not conforming to their worldview.

Others in this thread have already pointed out that the university in question stopped the speech not out of intolerance, but because the forms have not been adhered too.

So, your reply to Me is wrong on two fronts, not surprising really. Wrong is your standard mode of operation.

So you don't really oppose intolerance.

btw, Liberty University takes a TON of government money in the form of student tuition assistance.
Liberty University is a Private University. I don't know that you'd understand the difference.

I do oppose intolerance. However, I really don't think that most people even understand what the word means.

Here is an example.

Intolerance is tearing down statues over the outrage of past actions.

Tolerance is disagreeing with someone but having the maturity to let them exercise their First Amendment Rights unmolested.

As has been pointed out, LIberty University did not just silence this guy because they were intolerant of his views. He violated the procedure to be heard on this campus.

Rules, we all have to follow them.

Evangelical Liberty University received half a billion dollars in f...

OHhh but I thought the liberals were so intolerant!!!!

You can’t find one example of righties being tolerant of anything they disagree about.

I realize you're flailing now after being demolished.

This thread is about whether it is right or wrong for Liberty U. to engage in this sort of intolerance.

I find it interesting that the op has found one university to point out conservatives silencing a speaker while we have leftists attempting the same at schools all over the country.

If this were a so called Liberal University, ANTIFA thugs would have trashed the facilities and beat up a few innocent bystanders while whinging SJW Snowflakes did a sit in at the Chancellor's office while demanding vegan takeout and Snugglies.
