Remember when Nancy Pelosi said she she was willing to do anything to get Obamacare passed? Here’s a refresher:

Well, it could be that same approach to fundraising that now has her in hot water. According to CNN, the House Minority Leader may have broken the law when she solicited donations during a speech in the Capitol building.

CNN explains:


At a Capitol Hill press conference Thursday, Pelosi was making the case for campaign finance reform and said Democrats will disclose donors to their political groups, even when the law doesn't require it.

During her comments, she said “by the way we’re asking people to contribute to us if they want to elect more reformers to Congress so we can do away with super PACs – we can do away with secret contributions.”

So what’s so odd about that statement? Well, the part where she says “we’re asking people to contribute” while standing inside the U.S. Capitol is. That’s because, as CNN notes, “The law prohibits any kind of fundraising on federal grounds.”

A Pelosi spokesman, Drew Hammil, denied any wrongdoing.

The comment was very clearly referring to our efforts to disclose, reform and amend,” he told CNN. “Reporters have repeatedly asked the Leader how to square fundraising and reform policy so that’s why she said we have to raise money to elect more reformers. That is her pitch to supporters.”

In 1997, the Clinton administration (and Al Gore) faced a probe over whether he solicited donations by making campaign phone calls from the Oval Office. The law that forbids such conduct is called the Pendleton Act.

Anyone who voted for NDAA should be doing hard time for life.

A president owns the trend after the hand off and while Obama got a poor situation, he made it much, MUCH worse -deliberately. Do you really not bother to research and understand what REALLY motivates those whose propaganda you so willingly parrot? Who claims to speak on behalf of the poor? Who claims to represent their "interests"? Which economic class do Democrats see as their natural constituents and those who most reliably vote Democrat? And DO? Why would you ever expect Democrats to want to see that economic class SHRINK then? It isnt just common sense buddy, this is documented leftwing extremist agenda to increase the ranks of the POOR! Because it means POWER for THEM. And too bad if you are one of those they make poorer because your best interests are NOT any part of the agenda. This is all about creating massive, powerful government with them wielding all that power over you. They know it will be them because their political opponents oppose allowing government to have that size and power in the first place.

Our problems are because we don't have MORE wealthy people and because we have too many poor. Too many out of work. Too many on government hand outs. Democrats and the White House saying mind boggling idiocies claiming unemployment and increasing the ranks of parasites on the system stimulate the economy -can't make it any clearer this was their goal all along. Unsustainable debt and Obama wants to increase spending MORE! Any clue why he wants to shorten the time until we are Greece and bankrupt? If the course isn't changed, the outcome is that of Greece. No coincidence the ranks of the poor exploded and the ranks of the wealthy shrank. Who benefits when that happens? Hint:it isn't Americans.

I can't wait for November. You go ahead and vote for the moron who knows how to increase poverty -and wants to. We all suffer when fellow Americans do poorly and fail. Who can believe her? She is one of the ones who has made a fortune on trading on insider information. I would not trust her as far as I can throw her. She is a money whore just like so many of them...on both sides of the isle. I am a liberal and if she is one of the representatives, I am something else.
