‘If she ran for president today, she would be the Republican nominee’

We are definitely seeing the effects of what happens when clueless idiots vote style over substance.

Clueless idiots like the following, are the problem in this great country. And thanks to the clueless idiots, we are watching Obama's incompetent ass piss this great country straight down the fucking toilet!

You know........I made a prediction last December, and that was that the Wasilla Chihuahua would be politically irrelevant as well as going FAST into obscurity by June.

Looks like my prediction is right on track.

Ask P.T. Barnum!

Sarah "the Psychic" Palin (I call her psychic because she can read palms) will never be a serious candidate. Hell! She had a job in the executive branch in Alaska and quit before her term was up! How on earth could the Psychic stand the heat in D.C.?

Excerpt:
David Broder, perhaps the biggest douche at the Whore Post, had a devastatingly unremarkable assessment of Sarah Palin the other day. Her speech at the Tea Bagger convention in Nashville "showed off a public figure at the top of her game - a politician who knows who she is and how to sell herself." She used the televised occasion to "display the full repertoire she possesses." Palin is not only "the most visible Republican in the land," she has also "locked herself firmly in the populist embrace" and mastered "a pitch-perfect recital of the populist message that has worked in campaigns past." Broder’s conclusion: "The lady is good."

Broder wasn’t analyzing Palin's positions or accusations, or the truth or falsehood of her claims, or even the nature of the emotions that she appeals to. He was reviewing a performance and giving it the thumbs up, using the familiar terminology of political journalism. This has been so characteristic of the coverage of politics for so long that it doesn't seem in the least bit odd, and it’s hard to imagine doing it any other way. A couple of weeks ago, the Times ran a piece by its lead political reporter, Adam Nagourney, about a Republican strategy session in Hawaii: "Here in Honolulu, the strains within the party over conservative principles versus political pragmatism played out in a sharp and public way, especially as the party establishment struggled to deal with the demands of the Tea Baggers." The structure of the sentence, and of the article, puts the emphasis entirely on tactics and performance. This kind of prose goes down as easily and unnoticeably as a glass of sparkling water, with no aftertaste. Readers interested in politics drink quarts of it every day without gaining weight. And Broder and Nagourney are at the top of their game.

Sounds like Broder was giving Palin the same media treatment that was afforded Obama!

Now I KNOW the libs were all upset about THAT...

One thing's for sure, time will show that either you or the libs were complete I D 10 T's.

Well, if Palin's goal was to become a major celebrity and make a bunch of $$$ by becoming a heroine to the dumb wingnuts in this country by way of trashing Libs, then I guess you could say she succeeded.

But she's still an ignorant rhymes-with-punt, too. And for that, she still gets lots of from us.

I take issue with your "dumb wingnuts" comment. I could say that describes Obama voters as well. If Obama loses in 2012, does that prove who is "dumber"?

Palin ran AK a billion times better than Obama is running the US, just look at her popularity rating compared to Obama's. Does that prove she's smarter than Obama? Maybe being a "community organizer" isn't such a great first job before being president?

The MF had enough smarts to marry-up. I'll give him that much.

IMO, judging effectiveness by popularity is wrongheaded. Just like comparing a governnor and a POTUS is wrongheaded.

Voting style over SUBSTANCE is wronheaded, and we are now seeing the disaster of said wrongheadedness as we speak.

I missed the part where Broder was questioning if Palin was born in the U.S or maybe if shes a socialist who pals around with terrorists......

Analysis: What?s Palin?s place in GOP? - Washington Post- msnbc.com

WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin has proved that she can draw a crowd. What she has yet to demonstrate is that she can translate the appeal of a phenomenon into a political force that can attract or mobilize sizable numbers of voters.

The former Alaska governor is the Republican Party's biggest celebrity. She has given voice to a grass-roots movement grounded in anger with Washington and President Obama's policies. But her political future remains in question. Is she presidential timber? A force only within the Republican Party? A protest candidate like George Wallace (minus the racial divisiveness) or Ross Perot?

"Sarah Palin will have to choose to be either the leader of a movement or the leader of a nation. She can't be both," said Republican strategist Alex Castellanos. "Right now, she is a figure like [George] McGovern or [Barry] Goldwater, two candidates who led the most intense movements in our country's political history, but who couldn't win the middle."

Run, Sarah run!

Yep........create a thread for the Wasilla Chihuahua, and Cruising Skank comes a running.

I think he's looking for a way to get her to leave the first dude and make him the new first dude.

Yo.........Cruising Skank.........she's never gonna fuck you dude. But, seriously.............I truly do hope she runs.

And........I'll probably feel sorry for whoever she appoints as underling.

Man, i'm confused. Can anyone give me a serious answer to what the obsession with Sarah Palin is?

LOL. Just a bunch of folks with nothing better to talk about.

Hell. Palin isn't running for anything.

They consider her to be stupid, ignorant and a nothing, nobody. But man, they sure can't find anyone else to talk about.

I guess when the bozo you put in office has turned out to be a complete disaster and you don't want to admitt it. Its so much easier to go after someone else. Even though you consider that person to be stupid. A bimbo. A Quitter and a huge nothing nobody. Better to call her names than admitt your hero is a fucking disaster. Oh well. To each his own.

You betcha!!! LOL

It isn't about Obama. It isn't about how the right continues to de-legitimize him and his presidency. What is is about is the fascination with the Psychic and how those fascinated by her want to trip down the same sewer main that brought us another idiot: George W. Bush!

the right started to de-legitimize Barack Obama from day one. And they have been relentless. Now a year into his first term, the right revels about
a fucking disaster
. And what has the right offered as a viable alternative? Why Sarah the Psychic of course! Cut from the same bolt of cloth that produced George "nucular" Bush! They want us to try stupid yet again! Why? Because they know that they have no plan. None.

It's just as if politics was the NFL and the right is the Cleveland Browns. Failed, losing every time they try, and capable of nothing but hollow smack talk and comic relief.

The right is offering Palin as an alternative?

Funny, but I haven't heard that!

Ya' wanna fear somebody, fear Scott Brown.

And, what party has held the majority of the presidency in the last 50 or so years?

Well, the Psychic has been offering herself as an alternative~ no shrinking violet she.

And why is it every time a Conservative gets a chance, they use the word "fear" as in "Ya' wanna fear somebody, fear Scott Brown."? Is it the way a Conservative's brain is wired? "FEAR! Must respond in kind!"

I don't "fear" Scott Brown. I don't know enough about him to either fear him or champion him. I neither loathe him nor embrace him. Mr. Brown is an empty vessel here in mid-February 2010. I'll let the right fill him with their hopes and dreams and then see how he behaves himself.

And good luck with that Republicans have held the majority of time in the White House for fifty years screed. It doesn't help when you factor in the mess the Democrats always seem to inherit.

Seems to me that every time someone critisizes OL'BO, the next thing you hear is Palin and what a useless vessel she is. Hmmm. I guess her only use to the lefties on this board is as a can to kick down the road.

As for how long the Reps held powerin the Congress. The real power. Try about 6 years. The Dems had control of Congress for over 40 years. The Congress that holds the purse strings and passes those pesky little bills.

Of course lets certainly not factor in the mess the Dems leave behind. Wouldn't wanna do that now would we. You betcha!!!
