...an incredibly young age do you think he would have went on to be a major name in the world of music? I personally think he possessed the voice to do so but not sure on his capabilities to produce another success after his release of the tune "Donna." His band mate Waylon Jennings sure hit the big time so I would think Valens could have had a chance too. The problem would have been that the music world was changing shortly after his death in 59'.
With the advent of groups like the Beatles & especially the Rolling Stones I'm not sure Valens could have made the change to have stayed competitive. What do you think???
 
I think you're spot on.

The period of the early American rock n rollers was fading.

The second wave, the British invasion, changed the genre.
 
Waylpn Jennings seen a flooded market & changed style & moved on. Valens would have had no choice but to follow suit or go down in flames.
