I didn't think he was into affirmative action. He was into plain equality.

I probably would have voted for him. I mean, he was a preacher, anti-abortion, believed in basic Christian values, was non-violent..He was a Baptist preacher, as was his father. As far as I know, he didn't seek fortune or power.

Am I wrong? Yes he was active in the NAACP but at that time, black people needed to be advanced to pull even...I haven't heard anything about him being a socialist. I don't see how any Baptist could be.

If MLK were to run for president, who would he plagiarize his acceptance speech from.

Seriously, I'm so not interested.

Let's be honest about MLK rather than looking through rose colored glasses. King was a womanizer and he was closely affiliated with the communist party. Maybe that's what you want in a candidate judging by the last two democrat presidents but I would never have voted for King as president.

Black people voted for Marion Berry for mayor of DC after he got out of prison and Jesse Jackson Jr. has a hefty lead for his reelection and he's not even active.

No I would not vote for MKL. I remember him quite well and he was too heavily influenced by communisim.

And exactly how is that different from Comrade Obama?

I do see some similarity, not much but I don't believe MLK was a communist.

Without getting into the whole "communist" debate, MLK was most certainly a far left ideologue. If you do not know this, you do not know him at all.

And he would be slaughtered today for his anti-American statements, such as when he called our government “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world”.

He deserves our uninhibited appreciation for his work to advance the cause of equality and freedom, but outside the civil rights issue you would find him quite red.

thats sad to say your right to say tho but i find it very informative. especially from women im not saying you, but majority of women are always screaming of being treated equally, than to vote for a many who treated them poorly, i find it counter productive.
