Martha McSally stated she was raped when she was in the Air Force. She states it was one of her senior officers. Should she come out and state who it was? The reason I ask is she has now put a black spot on every single senior officer that she served under...because she didn't name the one guy who actually did it....is this fair to the innocent men who didn't rape her?

She may want that to blight as much of the old boys club as possible.

My grandmother and her friends when they were young had a thing for hanging with minor organized crime boys. Its given me some insight on how no one turns in budding ISIS members and how sometimes a group of ppl earn the reputation they get by association.

Well, we al know the guy that raped McSally was a Republican, because they love porn stars & sluts

Did McSally have to sign a NDA too?

CDZ man, and hey, no Democrat who voted for Bill really cares about that type of thing.

Damnit. We're off topic now. This place is such a sess pool.

well, McSally is a Republican so, is she gonna allow a Demo to rape her? Prolly not. LOL
might as well get 'hit' by one of your own.

Buddy, I'm not a team member or posting here on either party's payroll.

Do you think she should out whoever it was?

If she does not name him and provide proof, it is as though didn't happen, so she should remain quiet. She took responsibility for not reporting it. That should be the end of the discussion. Accusing someone today who has no way to defend himself against the charges would be just like Kavanaugh all over again. We have come a long way in 25 years, but we still have a ways to go.

The answer is yes (if she has evidence).
And what evidence could she possibly have at this point? Her word against his, and she will lose...like with most all women in her position....

So, if she can not prove it, which is impossible for her to do... I don't think she should do so... ya'll will chew her up and spit her out... even with her being a Republican.... and even with her being the first female fighter Pilot.... doesn't matter.... her life will be ruined by all of you guys....

Good question... also if this guy is still in charge you’d have to assume others are at risk. Tough positions that assault victims are put in... I can’t even imagine the mental torment. It’s a shame

Someone could have witnessed it or she could have told someone about it at the time who would testify.

Doubtful though...her kind of rape is done behind closed doors... and just telling someone else is not good enough in this day and age...

You never know. It's likely she was not the only victim and others may come forward or someone may have reported him for making sexual advances. If there's anything documented it could be used effectively against him.

a circus is all it will be, with lives ruined... just like Ford and Kavanaugh's....

not worth it!

You might be right but having lived in the Air Force culture from the 70's to the 90's, I think that private things would have remained private.

She went to the Air Force Academy in the 1980's when not too many women had been before. It was an awkward time for women to say the least. It was a different culture back then.

From the OP's link...

"Ms. McSally, a former member of the House who lost an Arizona Senate race last year and then was appointed to the seat once held by Senator John McCain, did not offer any details about the assaults or name the senior officer."

Anyone notice THAT? WTF? I don't care what your party affiliation is. That is an insane statement.

Ford/Kavanaugh was a circus, I agree. She had no credibility. No evidence or corroboration of any kind, just a vague story without any specifics. If McSally has something to present that gives her claim credibility she should name him. Why let him get away with rape?

The only issue is that now she has technically smeared every man who was a senior officer in her career.....if she wasn't going to name the exact guy, was it fair to say it was a senior officer? She could have said it was a member of the military without stating it was someone who was in her chain of command....innocent men are now under suspicion.....
