God does not think like you and me.

He is not impressed by human arguments that an eternity spent in hell is more punishment than we deserve.

The fact is, our own choices, not God's, is what gets us into hell.

So it's a matter of human agency, God respects us enough to allow our thoughts, words and actions to have consequences.

We are eternal beings, which puts us in the same class as God and the angels.

When all the physical world, the mountains, the rivers, the trees, the cities, melt away to nothing, we will still be here, with God, or not with God.

Our choices are our own, we decide our own fate.
