If Dickie Morris is even 1/2 right about this...

Makes me wonder if he isn't actually trying to incite a revolt.

Then he opens that incoherent blathering pie hole again, and I return the realization that he's merely a stone stupid Fabian socialist ideologue.

Don't be shy. What are you really trying to say?

I looked into my crystal ball and there were lots of people in the streets - not dancing. Can't tell you exactly what they were up to because my crystal ball rolled off the table, hit the floor and is currently out of order. If they pull this crap on Health Care Reform I do believe it's going to get loud around here... Not from cheering either.

There is little doubt in my mind that if they push this through then they will be through. Too many people know whats going on today. I hope.

Everybody knows about this. Even the dumb ass Congress critters know. They, however, don't care what the majority of the people want. They are bound and determined to do this thing. If the Democrats push this down our throats there's going to be lots of new faces in Congress real soon.

This is the Progressives' decades-old dream about to come true. They'll worry about the cost later. If it means careers end, so what? They'll put it their tombstones.

Strangely, I find that respectable in some ways.

Fortunately they cannot carve it in stone and it can be changed. If they are stupid enough to push it through.

The united states is so screwed if this health care bill passes.

This will be Obama's Iraq war.

Taxes at 41%. Medicare taxes raised. Capital gains taxes raised.
During a recession? I mean come on, think. This is a really bad idea.

It's even worse. Let's take a high tax state like CA. A two income family making $250K is plain old middle class in the Bay Area. Under Obama, their marginal tax rates for trying to improve their lot in life:

Federal income taxes 41%
State income taxes 10%
Medicare 2.9% (including the obama increase )

That's approx 54% - and then they get to pay sales tax of over 9% on non-food items they purchase locally.

At some point, the extra work is not worth it, especially for the ones running small businesses.

OBAMACARE’S DEFINING MOMENT: IT’S DO OR DIE (LITERALLY) at DickMorris.com

Did you use "Dick Morris" and "right" in the same sentence?

Hilarious.

So how is the prostitute-toe sucker doing these days?

Every time he makes a prediction, the opposite usually comes true.

This is the funniest thread ever.

LMFAO!!!

I especially like the part about $250,000 a year being middle class.

That was a good one.

What a bunch of whinny little pussies the right is.

I already know two business owners who moved their companies from California to Nevada to escape the high California taxes and scores of folks who have had to sell out in California and move to a new state. If the legislature tries to significantly raise taxes again to cover their budget shortfall, they will almost certainly drive out more jobs and more retirees, etc. out of the state continuing a viscious cycle of higher taxes versus a dwindling tax base. People without jobs can't pay those taxes and people who don't live there don't have to.

It's the same story nationally too. Okay, its more difficult for Americans to just pull up stakes and move to a new country and most don't want to, but it sure hasn't been difficult for more and more businesses to relocate to places that have more favorable taxes, fewer regulations, lower minimum wage, no union requirements, etc.

At some point, you would think our elected leaders would wake up and see what is happening. Make the state and/or country more favorable for business to stay and you have more jobs and more taxpayers funneling money into state and the national treasuries. While tax cuts are not always the solution, there is obviously a point of diminishing returns when taxes are raised.

And this healthcare overhaul the President wants is simply going to be another huge tax on the American public just as Cap & Trade will be.

That is why we need national health insurance. It will help American businesses tremendously.

Companies in Canada don't have to pay for employee's health insurance, so they have an advantage over American companies. Toyota just located a plant in Canada instead of the U.S. for this reason.

No we don't need national health insurance. We need to fix what's broken so the free market can bring down the costs. Nothing the government has EVER done in the way of big programs has improved the system or brought down costs. Simply not paying what the costs are won't do it--that's what is happening with Medicare and Medicaid--and if you put the entire system under that kind of plan, we will no longer have a great healthcare system.

Companies should not be providing their employees with health insurance here either. The employee should own his/her policy and should be able to take it with him/her when s/he changes jobs. Companies would be free to pay some or all the premium for an employee's policy if they wanted to or they could choose to pay higher salaries and increase other benefits.

There are all kinds of way to fix what's broken without the government taking over and wrecking the whole thing.

That's just more right wing silliness.

Single payer systems are cheaper and more fair. That's why every other industrialized nation has one. The Germans have had one since 1886!

Dude... wtf is Beck's obsession with prohibition?

And obviously those 'evil progressive communists' DID know better than he did- it's a matter of public record that he didn't know when to stop drinking.

'They're also the ones who said the constitution evolves'

Really? So there was no amendment process and there were no amendments until the Progressives came around?

Single payer systems may be cheaper but they aren't as good and they aren't as fair. To say otherwise is left wing silliness.

'The progressives said the FF were racists'
