If Brown wins in Mass, the GOP will need to act

Normally this type of towering, epic defeat would leave a mark. But they'll just call Coakley incompetent and move on their merry way. Easier to blame others than own up to what really happened.

Luntz (pollster) talked to a group of democrats and how they voted. None of them stated that it was a badly run campaign. One stated that it was about healthcare reform. Another wanted to send a message to DC. These democrats are feeling the same way that conservatives are with DC.
But, you are right M.M., they will do the damage control speeches blaming Coakley. But, they aren't fooling anyone.

Here's Democrat Senator Jim Webb:
"In many ways the campaign in Massachusetts became a referendum not only on health care reform but also on the openness and integrity of our government process. It is vital that we restore the respect of the American people in our system of government and in our leaders. To that end, I believe it would only be fair and prudent that we suspend further votes on health care legislation until Senator-elect Brown is seated."
