If there's going to be a protest walkout, they need to be protesting their own peers who are creating the monsters among them.

False history and propaganda was in public schools under strongly conservative times. What passed for history and discussion of international issues was so lamentably distorted that confronting facts later was very painful. It is hardly surprising such would continue once such possibilities are engendered in a system. 'Left' and 'liberal' are such non-terms now that we can hardly say who is and isn't one or the other, or both (according to buttons pushed).
If 'they' indeed are somehow accomplishing this currently in public schools, they haven't invented anything. They also aren't doing any better, and arguably worse, as concerns general education (languages, business, sciences) than 'the old days'.
