IDF drops leaflets on north Gaza urging evacuation

The IDF on Tuesday afternoon dropped leaflets on northern and eastern Gaza instructing civilians to evacuate to the center of the Strip Gaza immediately.

"For your safety, you are requested to evacuate your homes immediately and head towards central Gaza City," the leaflet read.

The warnings come on a make-or-break day for a possible ceasefire or ground offensive into Gaza.

Hamas mosque loud speakers told Gaza residents on Tuesday afternoon not to leave their houses, Al Jazeera reported, after the IDF dropped leaflets in the Strip earlier in the day urging civilians to evacuate to the center of the coastal enclave.

According to Al Jazeera, Gazans were encouraged by Hamas to "stay steadfast."
