Idaho Tells Obama: Go To Hell

Another FAILED attempt by Republicans to deny Americans Healthcare

It won't work. States don't have the authority
This is a tired, errant argument. Republicans are not trying to deny health care to anyone. They are (as I am) against GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF HEALTH CARE. Get that through your thick ass, stupid, liberal mind.

The American health care system would benefit more from tort reform and the prevention of corruption in the parts of our system that are already controlled by government (medicare medicaid) than under the proposed 'give it over to the IRS' bill.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Rightwinger- Name the people you know that have been DENIED health care in this country. I want names. Name them. I know of no-one, not ever, that has been denied health care. No hospital, no doctor has ever denied ANYONE health care because of their inability to pay, IT'S JUST NOT DONE!!! So stop with the bull-shit and read the hypocratic oath and also learn more about medicaid which is tax-payer dollars that funds the poor for their healthcare.

I will not name names, however try and get a bad disk repaired in your back with no health insurance....

Under Obama care you might be given a pill.

Ah, so now we see the liberals spewing hatred of Idaho.

What then of Virginia, that passed a similar measure?

Or the 37 other states currently considering a similar measure? :)

Nice story but not representative of our healthcare system.

A bad doctor yes - but you were saved by the healthcare system as well.

Move along...
Yes a bad doctor. The hospital did not deny me any treatment at all. Fact, they took very good care of me and never asked about insurance until after I was home. I got a phone call a week later asking if I had insurance. I do see where the system could use some improvement or updating. Mandatory health care insurance is not the answer.

My 20 year old nephew a few years ago had a tooth that had became infected. It was so bad one side of his head and neck looked like it was going to explode. The local dentist put him on antibiotics. The whole thing got worse. The local dentist sent him to a specialist. The specialist demanded a thousand dollars on the spot before he would admit the kid into the hospital. I was the one who drove him over to the doctor's office. Nephew came out to the pickup and told me the doctor told him to come out and ask me for money. The kid had a job just no money right then. Nephew was living at my parents house. My dad was in the hospital a state away in surgery because of an aortic aneurysm and mom was with him. This doctor was trying to extort the kid for a thousand bucks. I told nephew to go back in and tell the guy he did not have any money which was the truth. The kid did not even have the money to put gas in to drive himself to the doctors office. The doctor sent him back out to the pickup to ask me for money again. I told the nephew to get in the pickup and drove him to the hospital. They admitted him. They did surgery that night on him. They had to put in a tube to drain the abscess. Again bad doctor good hospital care.

I was tired when I posted this last night. I forgot to mention that the nephew could have had his tooth taken care of the year before. He did not want to spend less than a hundred dollar to get it fixed. He opted instead to spend his money on partying. The only thing he had to pay for while living at my parents home was his own expenses for smoke, eating away from the house and his vehicle.

By deciding to forgo the initial dentist appoint because he did not want to spend his money on that he ended up in a hospital that will most likely have to write off his bill. The hospital takes this loss because it is federally mandated to accept patients even if they cannot pay.

Common sense says spend the money that it takes to take care of your most basic health needs prior to spending your money to party down.

Those states do not have these guys in the news as often.

The Idaho governor has just signed a measure requiring the Idaho Attorney General to sue the federal government if it requires its residents to buy health insurance. 37 other states are currently considering similar measures.

The State Rights vs Big Government Obamacare could get ugly folks...

Idaho first to sign law aimed at health care plan
By JOHN MILLER (AP) – 1 hour ago

BOISE, Idaho — Idaho took the lead in a growing, nationwide fight against health care overhaul Wednesday when its governor became the first to sign a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government if residents are forced to buy health insurance.

Similar legislation is pending in 37 other states.

Constitutional law experts say the movement is mostly symbolic because federal laws supersede those of the states.

But the state measures reflect a growing frustration with President President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.

A waste of Idaho's citizens state tax dollars. Oh wait, Idaho gets more money from the fed than it pay into the federal treasury, so it's our tax dollars being wasted. I guess Idaho politicians have never been told that federal law trumps state law. And you all talk about frivilous lawsuits!

Protecting the constitutional rights of everyone is never a waste of money, ever. Federal legislation does not trump the constitution and hopefully it never will.
