Idaho Tells Obama: Go To Hell

Another FAILED attempt by Republicans to deny Americans Healthcare

It won't work. States don't have the authority

Rightwinger- Name the people you know that have been DENIED health care in this country. I want names. Name them. I know of no-one, not ever, that has been denied health care. No hospital, no doctor has ever denied ANYONE health care because of their inability to pay, IT'S JUST NOT DONE!!! So stop with the bull-shit and read the hypocratic oath and also learn more about medicaid which is tax-payer dollars that funds the poor for their healthcare.

I will not name names, however try and get a bad disk repaired in your back with no health insurance....

I thought the right is wanting to prevent the states from regulating the insurance industries doing business within their borders?

That is one of the few things that wouldn't be unconstitutional on the federal level. The Federal government can regulate interstate commerce. IE the buying and selling of goods and services across state lines.

Anything else is blatantly unconstitutional and should be treated as such.

Yes, and when those stupid dems in the house and senate see their bill slaughtered by The Supreme Court, I would like to be there to see the looks on their faces. 37 states are getting ready to challenge this bill on it's violation of the Commerce Clause. They are getting ready and they can high speed this on Monday after the vote- stated the Virginia Attorney General. He stated they can communicate with each other quicker than teenagers on twitter.:lol: They are gearing up for the challenge.

It only gets slaughtered in the Court if Originalists keep control.

All it takes is one "accident" and we are in trouble going the Court route.

I won't name names, but I take care of one guy who cannot get all treatments available for MS because of the insurance he has. And of course he can't pay for it himself, because he has MS and is on a fixed income.

but states can put restrictions on those good and services sold accross state lines.

Maple actually expects people to name people who have to go through the horrible part of this HC system so he can probably track them down or some crazy shit. :cuckoo:

That is absolutely not true. If you want details I can cite the specific Supreme Court case law. You may WISH that the things you're saying would be the real way the Constitution is interpreted but there are decades worth of Supreme Court precedent which say exactly the opposite.

You know who pays for this? The same 2% of people who got those bush tax cuts.
Alot more than 2% got those tax cuts. I bet even you did too.

I assume you can read these simple charts:

Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, are you lying again? Or just woefully ignorant, parroting the same old partisan pablum?

Why do you guys act as if you dont know about the two times he specifically cut taxes for the top 2% of people. Those tax cuts cost a billions....actually a trillion dollars. Two times.

The bush tax cuts that Bush gave to hedge fund managers alone was more than enough to fund the entire CHIPS program.

Hedge fund managers need punishment not reward.

Maple, generally I can agree with you somewhat on what you post but, you are in error about no-one ever being "denied health care". In 1981 I was sent home to die by a doctor after he asked me if I had insurance and I responded no. I was twenty-three years old and my daughter shared her chicken-pox with her younger brother. He stayed on my lap the whole time he was sick and in turn shared the chicken-pox with me. Since I did not have any money and I did not have insurance I did not go to a doctor right away. I ran a fever of from 102 to 106 for three days. It got to the point where I could barely walk because I was so sick. I finally decided money or not I had to see a doctor. I was so sick I did could not recall even driving myself to the doctor's office in town. I walked into the doctor's office hoping that a lady I knew would be working there that day. She was and I was grateful. She had me wait for a few minutes and the doctor had me and the children come into his office. I sat in his office and answered all of his questions. The last question he asked me was "Do you have any kind of insurance?" I told him no. He then asked me if I knew anyone that could take care of the children because it was obvious to him that I was in no shape to take care of them. I told him my mom. He asked and I gave him her phone number. He called her and told her that she needed to come get my children because I was too sick to take care of them. He did not examine me, he did not take my temperature or ask me how I felt. He told me to go home and that my mom would be coming over to take the children home with her.

I drove myself and my children home. I told the kids to go on in the house. I was very weak and I sat there in the car for about ten minutes. I was trying to work up enough energy to get up the stairs. It seemed like forever getting up to the top of the stairs.

My mom came in about an hour and brought one of their workers who was a friend of the family with her. She wanted him to stay there to watch over me. Since I had been puking for three days straight I really did not want anyone there especially a man. Mom insisted. She left and brought back a bag of groceries. She bought everything she thought I may try to eat. The thought of food made me feel ill. I wanted to sleep and be left alone.

I called mom about four hours later and asked her to come get the guy. I did not have enough energy to get my robe on before trying to get to the bathroom to puke. A day and a half later two friends came by to see me. They threatened to call an ambulance if I did not go to the hospital on my own before they left on a trip out of state. I laid there and fell back asleep. I woke up about four hours later and I crawled to the door and down the stairs and got into the car. I drove myself to the hospital. I walked through the emergency doors where I collapsed.

Five days later and with an x-ray of my lungs each day being shown to me by the older doctor in the hospital I was able to go home with my mom. The doctor told her that it was a miracle I was alive much less walking. The chicken-pox had gone into my lungs and my intestines. Initial x-rays had black areas where my lungs were. Each day little spots of grey started to show in those black areas. The first doctor who I saw at his office was later run out of town. I heard that he got a job as a military doctor.

Nice story but not representative of our healthcare system.

A bad doctor yes - but you were saved by the healthcare system as well.

Move along...

Yes a bad doctor. The hospital did not deny me any treatment at all. Fact, they took very good care of me and never asked about insurance until after I was home. I got a phone call a week later asking if I had insurance. I do see where the system could use some improvement or updating. Mandatory health care insurance is not the answer.

My 20 year old nephew a few years ago had a tooth that had became infected. It was so bad one side of his head and neck looked like it was going to explode. The local dentist put him on antibiotics. The whole thing got worse. The local dentist sent him to a specialist. The specialist demanded a thousand dollars on the spot before he would admit the kid into the hospital. I was the one who drove him over to the doctor's office. Nephew came out to the pickup and told me the doctor told him to come out and ask me for money. The kid had a job just no money right then. Nephew was living at my parents house. My dad was in the hospital a state away in surgery because of an aortic aneurysm and mom was with him. This doctor was trying to extort the kid for a thousand bucks. I told nephew to go back in and tell the guy he did not have any money which was the truth. The kid did not even have the money to put gas in to drive himself to the doctors office. The doctor sent him back out to the pickup to ask me for money again. I told the nephew to get in the pickup and drove him to the hospital. They admitted him. They did surgery that night on him. They had to put in a tube to drain the abscess. Again bad doctor good hospital care.

Idaho....the last of the white Nazi bush leagues.
Lived there for over seventeen years. I think your ass is sucking wind. My husband has relatives all over Northern Idaho. They will tell you that your ass is sucking wind. I have very good friends who still live in Idaho. Some are even congressmen, ex governors, former attorney generals, state senators and judges. They might want to tell you that your ass is sucking wind also. Keep posting maybe you might even hear from some of them.
