Idaho commissioner asked to resign after shooting family of baboons.

I shoot to kill; deer (in season), squirrels, sea gulls, rabbits and an occasional raccoon. Big game hunting is not my thing. Killing baboons and giraffes are definitely not my thing.

As a lifelong hunter i have to wonder where is the thrill in shooting a whole family? It's like shooting a doe and her fawns and being proud of it. If that happened on our hunting land the person would lose their hunting privileges...family or not. They would be ostracized out of town. Makes no sense but I suppose some hunters just have to kill because they they are such great hunters....who have to hire a guide to take the work and skill out of it.

Baboons in Africa are considered a pest and a nuisance in the cities, much like rats and pigeons here in the U.S., and the South African farmers view them as shoot on sight vermin.. ...
