I'm trying to find a silver lining in all this......

Maybe we should be thankful that Trump does NOT sign an E.O stating that we ALL must play golf at his resorts when vacationing.

Defenders of Obama’s vacations will often point out that former President George W. Bush spent more time on vacation than Obama has, which is true, as CBS White House correspondent Mark Knoller, the authoritative recorder of all presidential activity, noted that Obama has been on 28 separate vacations for at least 217 days, while Bush had 88 vacations totaling 533 days.

Often left unsaid, however, is the fact that Bush’s trips were most often to his personal ranch in Texas or the Bush family home in Maine, typically at minimal expense to the taxpayer.

Obama’s vacations on the other hand were often to very different places requiring a full security contingent, advance teams and plenty of set-up to host the first family and all of their attendees.

I'm pretty sure Obama played way more golf than GWB.

Checking to see if Obama is the OP. More hypocrisy from the Democrats, Communists and proogressives.

At the end of the day, no president ever actually takes a 'vacation.' The job follows them and they are doing it 24/7. They just do the job in a different locale. The expense is honestly nothing more than a distraction - the leader of the free world can go wherever he damn well pleases as far as I am concerned as long as he does a good job.

Good point..... perhaps it is the excess overhead and variable expenses of a trip that must be measured. For example, Bush to Crawford and Obama to Hawaii are the same. Bush to Crawford with wife and kids on AF1 vs Obama on AF1 while wife took seperate plane and entourage to world vacations, that is what needs to be called out. Which President spends more percentage of fixed predictable costs vs. variable, egregious costs per trip.
