Outside the mega gas station a dirty lookin fellow got the shakes and collapsed. The gals working hit the panic buttons and one called 911.

Seemingly ALL the cops showed up, 9 units by the time it was done, and an ambulance.

I dunno if the collapsed dude lived or not but that ambulance crew sure performed their duty and gave him something before swiping a credit card or digging through his wallet.

The cynic in me is just assuming they are gonna have a difficult time collecting on him.

Good to see kinder, gentler socialized Trumpcare at work.

The type of neighborhood where if your kids are done with school you are probably not going to move out of your home but where you'd think about mortgages and the cost of private school combined if you werd a young family. For a number of years, hospitals received federal money to treat the uninsured. A good chunk of that money was reallocated to help pay for the ACA. It was one of the things that has been attributed to strains put on small and rural hospitals that see a lot of uninsured or medicaid patients.
