There are a handful in office. They were elected to represent this country and believe it or not they feel the same as 70 percent of the country . Lets put blame where it belongs our lying president. The congress machine who thinks kicking the can down the road is the answer. Their has to be change no doubt about it . Someone has to stand up and stand up to these talking hands and I for one applaud them:clap2:

So you dont care that they caused this but just wish the news would quit reporting the fact that the tea party screwed Americans?

The financial sector screwed America. The Tea Party was pissed that our govt borrows money like we don't have to pay it back.

They're to blame because they could have had 3-4 trillion in cuts and settled for 1 trillion, just because they signed a piece of paper and wouldn't accept any revenue enhancements at all. The only piece of paper they owe allegience to politically is the Constitution. This was amateur hour through and through. Look what they caused, a downgrade in our bond rating!!! They won't be getting any kudos from me.

Tea Party know the current system is BROKEN. They want it to come back to what it is and I for one I am all for it..... But when you have the talking heads calling them terriost . Our own american people who are the ones being the childish ones .

the right screwed Americans.

They are the ones who KEEP pretending that the people who run businesses are some kind of saints.

They are just people and run the same gamit as any group of people.

Some are saints as human beings.

Some not so much.

The not so much group is willing to do ANYTHING for money and power.

They end up crushing the moral ones when you have no rules to protect the moral ones.

JUST like anywhere in life.

When you deregulate for deregulations sake you SCREW us all.

The tea party suffers from the delousion that all business owners are saints and that unfettered markets create a MAGICAL world where the country can just run on an automatic setting.

They have been fed that image by guess who?

The Business owners who are of the "not so much" group so they can crush the moral ones and gain the most money and power.

So the tea party does their bidding and to do so they have to deny science, deny economists, deny the definitions of words, deny court documentation and even spit of the generation who fought and won WWII.

Dude, no single faction caused this. It was our Government in General. The tea party is 1/2 right, but the 1/2 they're right is common fucking sense so what's their point, again?

Duh, spending is ludacrous. Let's make a whole party over what everyone knows.

But the Federal tax issue.............phony. Our federal taxes aren't too high. Maybe your state and local. Federal? NO.

How come you're the only idiot left who thinks this is a partisan problem ?

Its an Ideas problem.

The right bases their ideas on a mountain made of lies and fact denial

"It is good for a young man of twenty to be a Liberal, for it proves he has a heart.
It is equally bad for that same young man at fourty to not be a Conservative, for it proves he has no brain" Winston Churchill.
Just an example of the Devil at work today, when we are forced to add "Winston" in front of the "Churchill" to distinguish the author, of no little historical prominence, from that abomination "Ward"
Most of humanity follows that same developmental path save for a Bob Beckel or two, who spent their youths and early adulthoods being so drug addled and stoned that they remain loyal Democrats to this day.

Churchill never said it. Even if he had, it wouldn't mean then, what it would mean today.

Now go reseach what conservative was during Churchhills time.

They were represented by people like IKE.

It's a reality problem. Rs AND Ds have borrowed and spent too much money on their pet projects. There is none left and your theory that higher taxes will solve everything is stupid.

Because it's that "common fucking sense" you speak of that is lacking in government, both sides of the aisle.

But by the same token, the tea partiers lack it. Severely. 1/2 their argument is a falsehood, and it's driving their representatives to perpetuate the failure.

They are tearrorists. They held the country hostage using the debt ceiling. It worked, but so did the attacks on 9/11.

Texas Republican Congressman Pete Sessions compares GOP strategy to Taliban insurgency

Pete_Sessions.jpg

"Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban, and that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person's entire processes. And these Taliban -- I'm not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban. No, that's not what we're saying. I'm saying an example of how you go about [sic] is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with."
