I will never forget...

I have to admit that Bush was inspiring in the days after 9-11. It was his finest hour.

He had unilateral support both at home and abroad and was in a position to reshape the world.

Too bad he fucked it up by invading Iraq and not involving the world community in the war on terrorism

I will never forget how lucky America was that President Bush was in charge at that time.

Really? I remember thinking that I wished we had a president who knew how to read presidential daily briefings.

*shrug*

he gave a good speech, though.

A briefing saying that terrorists plan to strike america at any time, anywhere, really isn't that helpful, especially since under Clinton, they struck about every year.

What is too bad is that Clinton didn't take Sudan's offer to hand over OBL to the US.

Imagine, Sudan offered OBL's head on a silver platter to the US, and Clinton said no.:cuckoo:

Clinton did not take the threat seriously at all. He treated Terrorism as a Law enforcement issue.

When a US warship was attacked (the Cole) the Bulk of his response was to send a small team from the FBI to Yemen, who were then railroaded at every turn by our own Ambassador to Yemen. Who was afraid the Cowboy FBI would tick off Yemen so much our relations might suffer with them.

The bulk of his willingness to use the US military to address terrorism was to send some Cruise missiles to destroy the wrong target.

Not that Bush was doing anything different in the short time he had before the attacks.

one of the things that pissed me off the most about the attacks was all the people in the press, and our government after the attacks kept saying. "Nobody could of imagined something like this would happen"

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME.

the 93 WTC attack, the Cole, and the east African Embassy attacks did not make you see this could happen? All the intel that said they were planning attack. All the signs that the WTC was a target. The chatter about using planes?

If you could not imagine that could have happened you are a fucking retard.

2003 invasion of Iraq - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Approximately 248,000 soldiers from the United States, 45,000 British soldiers, 2,000 Australian soldiers and 194 Polish soldiers from Special Forces unit GROM were sent to Kuwait for the invasion.[106] The invasion force was also supported by Iraqi Kurdish militia troops, estimated to number upwards of 70,000.[7] In the latter stages of the invasion 620 troops of the Iraqi National Congress opposition group were deployed to southern Iraq.[3]A U.S. Central Command, Combined Forces Air Component Commander report, indicated that as of April 30, 2003, there were a total of 466,985 U.S. personnel deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom. This included USAF, 54,955; USAF Reserve, 2,084; Air National Guard, 7,207; USMC, 74,405; USMC Reserve, 9,501; USN, 61,296 (681 are members of the U.S. Coast Guard); USN Reserve, 2,056; and US Army, 233,342; US Army Reserve, 10,683; and Army National Guard, 8,866.[107]

Plans for opening a second front in the north were severely hampered when Turkey refused the use of its territory for such purposes.[108] In response to Turkey's decision, the United States dropped several thousand paratroopers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade into northern Iraq, a number significantly less than the 15,000 strong 4th Mechanized Infantry Division that the U.S. originally planned to use for opening the northern front.[109]

Still trying to sell that "Coalition of the willing" nonsense??

Fact is...most of the free world urged Bush to hold back the invasion, collect more facts and concentrate on the fight against real terrorism.

Bush ignored the advice, charged ahead and ended up paying the price as the rest of the world silently told us.....We told you so

You still didn't refute the facts. 36 countries joined the coalition.

However, it doesn't matter if it was zero. It was America that was attacked.

For seven years Pres. Bush kept America safe. Obama fucked it up, and as a result the US suffered 3 Al Qaida terrorist attacks in his first year.

This is something very difficult for liberals to comprehend.

Pres. Bush changed Al Qaida terrorist attacks from a pussy law enforcement issue, to a war, and took that war to the terrorists.

This put the terrorists on defense, instead of offense. That was a first :clap2:
