Why do you think you need to redistribute wealth? Who are you to determine who has made enough money? What is enough money? Why do you think you need to redistribute wealth? Who are you to determine who has made enough money? What is enough money? Why should anyone other than those who produce the wealth through their hard work recieve that money? Why should they lose it in favor of others who don't produce wealth? The fact is that a truly flat income tax in which everybody pays their fair share would eliminate at least some of the corruption built into the system. It would give eveybody a stake in the process and provide a common incentive to elect more honest and ethical people to be our representatives. And it would free up resources and provide such economic incentive that it would produce much more prosperity that would benefit everybody more than offsetting the meager amount of taxes the low income folks would be paying.

But you've asked necessary questions that must be considered in order to get us to a truly fair and equitable tax system. How much is enough? How much is too much? And how do we justify punishing accomplishment and success while rewarding lack of productivity and failure?

He has been working on a comprehensive energy package.

Come on now. Bush and the Republicans had eight years. Wild deregulation. Two never ending wars. A trillion point three drug bill with no means of paying for IT.

What did Republicans do? Seriously.

Have you noticed, when you ask, "What have Republicans done", meaning "something positive", not wars or economic catastrophe, or business deregulation, they can't answer?

We all have obligations to our fellow citizens. One is not spending their money before they have it. Another is being good stewards of what they have been entrusted with through taxation. Another is not to delibrately support policies that will put them out of work or raise their expenses significantly.

We've been talking about stopping this Cap and Trade nonsense lately. The President himself says that his plan will cause energy rates to skyrocket. And we are supposed to somehow support this legislation? We are supposed to come to some sort of compromise? Why? Why should we make it more difficult to get energy? Why should we try to solve a global warming problem that doesn't exist when the "solution" will cause suffering and death in our community? How do you compromise with that kind of crap? And especially when it's obvious that the only ones who benefit from this legislation just happen to be all of the Presidents friends who supported his campaign and are set to get rich off it. Why should we compromise with that corruption?

You might not like the tea party, that's fine. But they have legitimate concerns. Why should they suffer for corrupt policies?
