I think it's been quite funny how when Newt, Perry, and others have been attacking Romney from the left on business and the free market that it's been getting conservatives who don't necessarily agree with Romney on everything or even want him as the candidate supporting and defending him.

Romney is far better then RinomcCain. He has a record for creating jobs and is a much better debater. Likely better then Obama after what I seen after the New hempshire primary. Straight to the heart!

since the Republicans aren't even pretending to have a process, it really doesn't matter who Republicans rally around.

Remember, the whole argument for Romney has been he's a nice, squishy, non-scary moderate who can attract those indpendents who went for Obama in droves last time. (Obama got 56% of the Independent vote).

Romney's problem is John Kerry's Problem.

He isn't painting himself as a 'capitalist", he's painting himself as a "job Creator", when if fact he was a job destroyer.

And much like JOhn Kerry's image of "War Hero" was destroyed by all those pictures of him hangin' with Jane Fonda, Romney's image as a "job creator" is destroyed by all those shuttered plants and people who lost their jobs and pensions.

It just shows how the plutocrats have brainwashed some working Republicans into voting against their own economic interests. And hell, I fell for it for years.

I've always said, at some point there is going to be a conservative crackup when the social conservatives and economic conservatives finally figure out that by and large, they aren't in the same club at all.

This isn't about "Free Markets". This is about the rich manipulating the system to make themselves richer at the expense of the rest of us. What amazes me is that in 2008, only Huckabee noticed this, and he got hammered. Now you have three guys pointing it out- Huntsman, Gingrich and Perry.

Eventually, a Populist will realize that we have to put America's workers before Multi-National corporations that know no flag. Until then, they can pretty much expect to keep losign to the Democrats.
