I Thought It Was The Right Imploding: My Bad

Wait, you mean the left is pissed at Obama?

But I thought he was the most far-left President in the history of the universe! He's a MARXIST SOCIALIST COMMUNIST MUSLIM EXTREMISTS!!!!

Shouldn't those on the far left love him?

Or could it be that the left has been pissed at Obama for a long time?

What's so shocking about a OFA regional director defending Obama?

He is the most far left President. He is a socialist.

But that doesn't mean the revolutionaries that make up his base are satisfied with the slow pace at which Obama is fundamentally transforming our nation.

That's the problem with revolutionaries. They don't like evolution. They want revolution. Obama is supposed to be a revolutionary. And he is taking an evolutionary approach. A very heavy handed evolutionary or progressive approach, but it's still not fast enough for them.

Besides, leftist revolutionaries are never happy. If they were happy they wouldn't be leftist revolutionaries. They wouldn't be trying to make people as miserable as they are.

Seriously, like speaking to a wall.

lack of lock step and inter party fighting.

Seemed you were agreeing, then you said not. Which is it?

I'm disagreeing with your thread title, since "the left" has NEVER walked in lockstep.

Claiming that "the left" is imploding due to some OFA district leader bashing Krugman is about the stupidest claim I've seen today.

That would be like claiming "the right" is falling apart if a Republican state senator from Florida attacked Michael Savage.
So, I suppose that since the left suppoosedly doesn't walk lock step, and the fact that Obama has not only failed both this country and the left miserably (good thing, the left agenda failing is always a good thing, for obvious reasons btw), the left will now mount a challenge against Obama, since they don't walk lock step, correct?

Or, are they just going to continue to follow along like blind lil' sheep (walk lock step) as he takes this country further down the toilet, 'cause he is nothing even near a leader in any way?

They're probably going to yell and bitch, and then hold their noses and vote for Obama.

Similar to Conservatives back in 2008.

Ok, so you bring up some far right wing host from the left coast, that has zero to do with y points. Give you a bye on that. Why? Cause I can't figure out what he has to do with anything.

Your analogy matrix, again it's relevance?
I'll try to break my analogy down for you, but I think it's not that hard to understand.

Claiming that "the left" is falling apart because some OFA district leader (A) said mean things about Krugman (B) is as stupid as claiming that "the right" is falling apart because some random local republican (X) said mean things about Michael Savage (Y).

A is to B as X is to Y. As in, none of those people that I mentioned matter in any way at all.

Does that help a little?

Now to complicate things a bit further, i ran across this:

Column: Obama, be a sharp-elbowed centrist - USATODAY.com

Good old Lanny, 'C'mon Barack, let's get to it':

He took the pass on them because of the 'recommendations being meant to be taken all together or not at all.'

What part of that does Davis not get? The president, regardless of his rhetoric is not into compromise of any sort. He didn't want the 1.2T in cuts, never mind the 4T...

Once again, I'm not sure what you're point is here... are you claiming that the far left should love Obama?

No surprise to me, but your analogy explained is worse than leaving it out there, for folks to interpret. Thanks for that. Again. Still playing relevance towards Krugman and Savage. One is a has been economist, that seems to have lost all his lessons; the other is a left coast conservative that most haven't ever heard of. Yet your entire analogy revolves around these dudes. :cuckoo:

My bottom line and it seems a huge portion of the American electorate is that Obama has failed. Maybe, after his rest at the Vineyard, he'll have something to present that may send tingles up our legs, but color me skeptical.

Michael Savage isn't exactly an unknown. He's the number 3 behind Sean and Rush.

"Your bottom line" has nothing to do with anything we've been talking about, but I'll agree with it - I'm not an Obama fan, I didn't vote for him in 2008, and I won't in 2012.

So, if you had a choice of someone mounting a challenge against him, or would write someone else in, who would it be?

I'm not trying to start anything here, btw. It's just interesting to see a lefty on this board admit they won't support Obama.......It's not common among the lefty's up here.....They all seem commited to Obama no matter what.

Personally, at this point, if I don't start hearing more from our candidates, I'll write in Rubio.......Although, that would be hard, seeing as though every vote does count, and I just can't imagine another four years of Obama and his abject inability to lead.

He is the msot far left President. He is a socialist.
Obama was far from the most "left" candidate running for the nomination, let along the "most far left President".

He's a puppet corporatist, a pawn of the establishment. He's no more a Socialist than Bush was. "Socialists" don't arrange for their biggest donors to get billions from the government, or create a "healthcare plan" that forces people to give private businesses more money

Calling Obama a Socialist is making Karl Marx turn over in his grave.
But that doesn't mean the revolutionaries that make up his base are satisfied with the slow pace at which Obama is fundamentally transforming our nation.
First of all, we're not living in fantasy land. The "revolutionaries" that you're talking about aren't Obama's "base", they're a tiny minority - on the same level as right-wing "revolutionaries".

Obama's base is the millions of Americans who voted for him.

That's the problem with revolutionaries. They don't like evolution. They want revolution. Obama is supposed to be a revolutionary. And he is taking an evolutionary approach. A very heavy handed evolutionary or progressive approach, but it's still not fast enough for them.
I'm not going to respond to the Beck conspiracy theories. Obama isn't trying to "evolve" America into a Socialist country - he's just doing the time-honored American Tradition of Paying Off Your Friends.

Besides, leftist revolutionaries are never happy. If they were happy they wouldn't be leftist revolutionaries. They wouldn't be trying to make people as miserable as they are.

Actually, all of the former revolutionaries that I know are generally pretty well-rounded people.

I voted for Kucinich in the primaries in 2008, I'd vote for him if he ran against Obama - but there's no chance he'd run, and if he didn't, there's no chance he'd win.

OK........Kucinich has been hammering the hell out of Obama lately.......As has Nader.......Hell, I saw Nader a couple o' weeks back in an interview, and thought he was going to spew an aneurysm straight out his friggin' ear he was so mad.

Interesting times in American politics these days.....Nothing like i've ever seen in my 47 years.

Kucinich isn't the type to give someone a pass just because they share a party. He's one of the few really honest politicians.

But he's completely unelectable - he's the left-wing version of Ron Paul.
