I still miss Freddie Mercury

He was one of the best emotive showmen and he had an amazing set of pipes.

He could hold an audience spellbound.

Under pressure is a great song as well. Hell, there's not any bad Queen albums, let alone songs. There's just better and best. :)

I'm listening to both. The first? His hand was moving so fast, it was literally a blur.

A few hundred years earlier he would have been a Maestro. He formally trained in India. He was a Parsi. :)

I had heard that. And can you imagine? If there had been no revolution, we may never have heard of him.

At the age of 17, Mercury and his family fled from Zanzibar for safety reasons due to the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution.[7] The family moved into a small house in Feltham, Middlesex, England. Mercury enrolled at Isleworth Polytechnic (now West Thames College) in West London where he studied art. He ultimately earned a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art College, later using these skills to design the Queen crest. Mercury remained a British citizen for the rest of his life.

He was outrageous... I remember a pianist .... but that's another story.

End of November this year, it'll be 20 years already.

That didn't make me feel ANY better about it. I was just in college when he passed, and was mad as hell. Innuendo is by far their best album and it's his goodbye to us all if you listen to it. Hell, the song "Delilah" was written to his CAT, and "The Show Must Go On" is the last song he recorded.

Dunno if it's about standards, being old school or what but my favorite Queen songs are the classics. And I don't care how many bad movies they ended up in...

Yeah, the latter is my favorite and so what? Is it a reflection of the types of women I tend to date? Not tellin' and don't care what you think.

Like I said. It's about "standards" people. Only accept the best of the best and don't let anyone tell you that you are wrong.
