I met him at the 1976 Columbia conference, where we set up the rules for IPSC combat pistol matches.

I'm the guy in glasses, third from left in front row. Hacks' the guy in the hat, just in front of and left of Jeff Cooper, the man in the center of the pic. Jeff was a member of the NRA board of directors, created modern pistol technique, wrote a column for guns and ammo mag for 30 or so years, ran Gunsite ranch in Az, trained 1000's of people all over the world.
