It depends on what the definition of "was" is.

was meaning earlier the previous night. text can in the morning

Maybe the guy she woke up with was a disappointment and she now is circling around and giving you a second 'look.'

If she thought you were a less than promising suitor why would she bother texting you at all? Someone who has struck out does NOT usually rate a text in the morning.

You are still in the game, my friend.
