I never thought I could despise anyone as much as I do this person.

Hillary Clinton: Republicans Sick of Bush

2008 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton told supporters at an Orlando, Florida fundraiser Friday night that Republicans have "had enough" of President Bush, adding that GOP ethics scandals and troop casualties in Iraq have helped Democrats. There it is, she finally said it. That our men and women dying is helping the Dems. I hate this bitch.
"I think people are starting to wake up," Mrs. Clinton told donors gathered at a Lake Gatlin private home, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

"And I'm so relieved, because there has been incalculable damage done in the past five years," she claimed. "I have so many Republicans who say to me: `I've had enough. I didn't sign on for this.'"

According to the Sentinel: "Clinton attributed increased support for the Democratic Party to GOP ethics scandals, as well as national spending and military death tallies."

The evening reportedly netted Hillary's Senate reelection campaign about $75,000 - $25,000 more than her host had expected.

Shhe's such a stupid tw rhymes with what. Bush can't run again. Why is she talking about him? We are sick of Bush, but we'll probably prefer another republican next time. duh.

She didn't say that the deaths were good. Can you not read? She said listed troop casualties as one of the reasons why people were upset with the Bush administration, or are you saying that people shouldn't be upset with the Bush administration's handling of the war when we've had 25,000 casualties? BTW, Casualities means wounded and dead. Hillary is right on this, the GOP is in trouble because of ethics scandals, the continued failures in Iraq, and because the budget deficit is out of control.

She wishs she was, but she's not. She's in her spin mode, pal.
She eqates "Tired of" with "disappointment", not the same thing. Suck it up, we all don't blindly follow every move the party makes.

Like RWA said, we'd still rather go Republican. Never Hillary if that's what ya think.

If troop casualties are good for Democrats (I hate to even type that sentence), sHrillary being nominated is even better for Republicans. :mm: Unless she indeed made a pact with the devil, I believe she is unelectable.

I would prefer Hillary not be the candidate for my party in 2008. I'm for a center-left candidate preferably from the midwest like Evan Bayh from Indiana, Tom Vilsack from Iowa or my dark horse Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas.

Democrats have shown again and again that they prefer unelectable candidates to a true center-left candidate.

It was a fluke when they put Clinton forward.

Al Gore won the presidency in 2000, that was a successful campaign that Republicans stole from us at the end. Kerry wasn't the right candidate in 2004, but he ran a great campaign. In fact, going all the way back to LBJ, there have been only two "coastal liberals" as candidates, Dukakis and Kerry. Other candidates have been from the south or midwest (Humphrey, McGovern, Carter, Mondale, Clinton, Gore). Of those, only Clinton and Gore had a serious chance to win - no one was going to beat Nixon in '72, Reagan in '80 and '84 and Bush in '88.

I'm a republican and I'm not upset by the amount of deaths of our toops in Iraq - why? Because IT'S A FREAKIN WAR!! I'm actually quite pleased with how low it is considering what their task at hand is...

I'd rather not see Hillary as the candidate either. It means we will continue to see an incredibly lunatic democrat party. Atleast with someone knew, they might be able to lead extreme left to produce some good ideas or something.

Until then, we are essentially stuck with a 1 party system because there is no way the American people are going to continue to put up with the Insanity coming from the left. And a 1 party system is not good for America.

Dude, you are seriously in denial if you really think Al Gore won the election. Either that or you have no concept of how the electorial college as organized by the Constitution works. Al Gore lost Florida. In fact, he lost most of the states in the Union including his home state. At no time during the entire election did Al Gore have more votes in Florida. It's a tough loss. I understand that, but until you admit that you lost and need to fix things you aren't going to get any more support. Especially when you continue to kill the replacement population.

Al Gore didn't lose Florida, by every recount he won, but I'm done with that argument, Bush is in the White House by a 5-4 vote of the Supreme Court and that's what happened, so we move one.

My party has had some problems, the primary one being that for years, leadership has allowed us to be defined by right-wing conservatives. Howard Dean is ending all that. We will be defining ourselves for a change. Hillary is right, the failures in Iraq, the failures on the Gulf coast, the failure to have an ethical administration, and the failure to control the budget deficit have all been Republican failures, Bush failures, and yes they do end up helping us win elections. He's failed. We didn't cause him to fail. We tried to help him succeed in Iraq. We tried to help control the budget deficit. The Gulf Coast and ethics are failures directly of Bush's adminstration. I'm sorry if you want to whine because Republican failures are helping people see that Democrats have a better way.

The only way he won was when they counted the "dimpled chads", they take that particular study done by a university and use it to say that he won. This, of course, is ridiculous as the chads can get dimpled in a number of ways, not the least of them being that somebody thought of voting but chose not to.

Therefore the only way that Gore won was by a psychic determination of dimpled chads and the 'will of the voter'. This could not determine the actual will of the voter and it is ridiculous to guess at what it was by such a dimple. The machines themselves can cause dimples if the cards are ran through often enough (and these were run through several times).

Is this satire?
And heck I guess I've been living in Alaska too long, I didn't realize the Gulf Coast didn't have Governors and Mayors any longer! :teeth:

And, let's not forget the horribly botched response to Hurricane Katrina, headed up by incompetent cronies appointed to FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security by the Bush administration. Oh, and there's that truly horrendous and unbelieveably stupid plan to turn US port operations over to long time Bush Family business associates, The United Arab Emirates. After all, you can't let a little thing like national security stand in the way of fattening the already bulging Bush family bank accounts.
