He was nice..... Very gentlemanly
That is what men who can not win wars are like.
I know the man was trying to save his soldiers lives, OK, there is humanity in that.
But war has it's own demands, you can kill a lot more people being humane.
War demands one thing, success.
Success saves lives in war, not humanity.
i don't have enough experience in those matters to know.
Did you get his autograph? Picture? I think it's cool. What's the deal- was he giving a speech or you see him at Dunkin Donuts?
He was at a benefit for wounded soldiers called Stand Up For Heroes. It was pretty cool. But no, no autographs or pics. lol..
If you are going into war, there is nor real point in just saying cover our ass, if you are going there, you have to thrist for victory.
It is victory that will keep you alive.
nice meeting generals are fun.
i met AF 4star general chilton, 2star general carey, and admiral mcclain when i was at offutt AFB. All awesome people.
I never met a plate of General Tso's chicken that I didn't like.
I am serious here, the General Casey go home at night strategy in Iraq was kind, he was trying to save his boys, but it prolonged the war and allowed the bastards to take control of the night.
Do not go into war unless you can be a badder bastard than your enemy.
You can be kind, when you control the battlefield.
