I love this bill

Bill Text - 112th Congress (2011-2012) - THOMAS (Library of Congress)

`Protecting Jobs From Government Interference Act'

It's a whole 1 page. One sentence of one page

One sentence protects jobs. It's beautiful.

I truly hope this passes. That could pave the way for a great many reforms that protect those who create jobs for Americans.

We had a decade of everything the 'job creators ' could ever dream of...

HERE are the results...

For most of the past 70 years, the U.S. economy has grown at a steady clip, generating perpetually higher incomes and wealth for American households. But since 2000, the story is starkly different.

The past decade was the worst for the U.S. economy in modern times, a sharp reversal from a long period of prosperity that is leading economists and policymakers to fundamentally rethink the underpinnings of the nation's growth.

It was, according to a wide range of data, a lost decade for American workers. The decade began in a moment of triumphalism -- there was a current of thought among economists in 1999 that recessions were a thing of the past. By the end, there were two, bookends to a debt-driven expansion that was neither robust nor sustainable.

There has been zero net job creation since December 1999. No previous decade going back to the 1940s had job growth of less than 20 percent. Economic output rose at its slowest rate of any decade since the 1930s as well.

Middle-income households made less in 2008, when adjusted for inflation, than they did in 1999 -- and the number is sure to have declined further during a difficult 2009. The Aughts were the first decade of falling median incomes since figures were first compiled in the 1960s.

You missed this part (maybe you 'skipped' it).

The financial crisis is, for all practical purposes, over, and forecasters are now generally expecting the job market to turn around early in 2010 and begin creating jobs.
They got that wrong, how much can you trust the rest of the piece?

Pelosi said everyone would get it when it's implemented. But keep going around and around and believe bought off BS if you like. My father the Dr. was for this since 1940 and died at 92, not believing Pubs could fuck it up all these years. They're brilliant BSers, and we've got plenty of fools who believe the con men- 140 years of their bs....
NOTE TO MODERATORS... He brought up family first, so according to posted rules, it's open season.

Attacks on family members will not be tolerated and will be subject to action by an Admin/Mod. Action taken could range from a warning to banning and will be at Admin/Mod discretion. The only exception to this is IF a member brings his/her family member(s) into the conversation first.

Then your father was a bigger moron than you are.

That's very funny, jackazz. You'd think ignorance and stupidity were a virtue.

Well, lets see...they are off on predicting the future, so that means they are unable to measure the past 10 years... brilliant!

Apparently you do. It must run in the family.... father to son.

Maybe you feel more comfortable having the Wall Street Journal tell you GOP policies FAILED?

Bush On Jobs: The Worst Track Record On Record

President George W. Bush entered office in 2001 just as a recession was starting, and is preparing to leave in the middle of a long one. That’s almost 22 months of recession during his 96 months in office.

His job-creation record won’t look much better. The Bush administration created about three million jobs (net) over its eight years, a fraction of the 23 million jobs created under President Bill Clinton‘s administration and only slightly better than President George H.W. Bush did in his four years in office.

I know. But I can't help but like the fact that there are Republicans submitting and passing bills that:

1) Decreases the power of the Federal Government
2) Are less than 2200 pages long
3) Can be understood by every one without lawyers
4) Does more to promote job creation and protection than anything Obama has recommended the past 3 years.

It's a good sign to see politicians doing what they should do.

To prohibit the National Labor Relations Board from ordering any employer to close, relocate, or transfer employment under any circumstance

That sentence does more to spur job creation than Obama's jobs bill which Boehner has already shot down? That's funny. BTW, where are those jobs, Mr. Boehner? You've had the House since Jan. Time to stop talking about gays, guns and abortion and start doing what you promised America you would do - bring jobs back.

Yes it does do more than Obama's "jobs bill". The one that no Democrat will sponsor and thus cannot possibly be shot down by Boehner since no one has actually proposed it yet at this point. I could be wrong. I didn't check to see what happened today. Maybe they found someone to sponsor it. And if they did, they will debate and discuss it.

Reid introduces Obama

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Tuesday introduced President Obama’s American Jobs Act in the Senate.

Reid’s bill, S. 1549, is the text of the proposal that Obama has implored Congress to pass, but which Republicans say has no chance in the House because Obama has proposed to pay for the $447 billion jobs plan with new taxes.

You mean like President Barry I WON Obama?

No. BTW, he did win. And HE"S done all the compromising...

He hasn't been compromising much at all. If you think getting almost everything you want while giving nothing is compromise then you are dreaming.

Is this opposite day? Obama got everything he wanted? Seriously, are you joking? Obama wanted a public option, higher taxes on the rich, and the closure of Gitmo. He got none of them. The GOP made sure of that. How does that equate to getting everything he wanted?

heres a thought, if you support the constitution, elect someone who has read it. Palin, Perry and Romney may have glanced at it but it means nothing to them but a hot buzzword to jazz up the middle-american airheads. Ron Paul has stuidied it, and lives by it.

Did you Know that since 1900 the democrats have controlled both houses of 30 congresses, the republicans controlled both houses of 18 congresses, and the congress has been split between the parties 8 times..... Now whose BS are you talking about?

You hopefully understand that Gitmo is still open because Obama had to eat crow when he realized it would be stupid to close it? No one could have forced him not to close it, it was all his choice not to...........
