Your friend has lost perspective for some odd reason. Did you ask him why he decided to believe that garbage? Because as far as I am concerned that kind of thinking has nothing to do with logic. it was a turning point in his mind and a bad decision on his part.

Oh so with your logic if your friend had " a turning point in his mind and a bad decision on his part " concerning Religion, Sexual preference or the brand of Beer he drinks you would end the friendship? Whatever the truth is, or the best is has nothing to do with your opinion on it if you're a true friend. It's called freedom of thought and freedom of expression. Oh I lost a friend much the same way. He made the decision to stop talking to me, because I did not agree with his rantings, he no longer made sense. Just so you know. I miss my old friend, he was once very respected by me. Not because we agreed on everything, but because he was logical and made sense, but like Mr Fitnah. I cannot understand why and what happened. It becomes offensive to ones sensibilities when they lambast everything you hold dear and know to be true. You can only take so much

Blaming America for everything bad in the world is what my friend was doing in essense, it hurt me to the core. Something had to give.

I haven't read this whole thread through, but just like Mr. Fitnah, I would write off any "friend" who was that nuts. It's one thing to question 9/11, religion, socialism, etc. but it's quite another to take a stand declaring everyone else wrong. Life is too short to spend it with idiots.

I've written off a few liberal friends in the past year or so. Nothing makes me nuttier than rich divorcees crying about healthcare reform and the plight of the poor while they shop at Neiman Marcus with their artificial tits. Give me a break.
