Through it all, what really mattered was that we had felt, we had loved, and we had lived.

Wow, I remember all of these. I was just singing "Shot THrough the Heart" yesterday as a matter of fact.

I hope you helped with them! :)

Anyway, I was actually born in '76, but I don't remember anything before I was about 4. Which I hear is a good thing... disco, Jimmy Carter, and oil embargoes don't sound like anything I would have eanted to be around for!

Or the shirts with the gold threads or using a Bic lighter to melt your eyeliner or Bonnie Bell roll on lip gloss or ...

too many or's!!!!!

Bic lighter to melt your eyeliner

AHHHHHHH I completely forgot about this!!!! Burned like hell if you didnt let it cool off for one second before applying LOL.

Reminds me of a funny story... I have a sister who is a year older than me and I used to LOVE to try and imitate her. She plucked her eyebrows since she was able to hold the damn things (not really... seemed like it). I was sooo afraid to pluck my eyebrows the first time, I was afraid it would hurt.

Instead, I concocted my own method: an electric shaver. No pain, less eyebrows ~ WAHLAH! (or so I thought).

Needless to say, I walked around with absolutely NO eyebrow OR eyelashes on my right eye until they grew back.

*sigh* the good 'ol days. :wtf:

Good GOD!!! I was just telling my boyfriend the other day that I might be able to handle the resurrection of the mullet- but would absolutely need to get him hammered and shave his head should he decide to revert LOL- but that I was chucking it all if pegging your pants or multiple socks came back into fashion! Now that I have to do my own damn laundry, I sure as hell do NOT want to wash a thousand pairs of socks a week!

And, for the record, I was in, like, the fifth grade when I wanted to be Jem! bring out the walker.....

I remember being in grad school and taking an intro level economics course, which I had managed to avoid all through college, hence the reason for my taking it in grad school, when the professor asked this group of eighteen and nineteen y/o kids if anyone knew who Lynda Carter is. I looked around at all these blank faces, WISHING TO GOD that someone other than myself knew who she was, and was sooo relieved to see a hand raise. This eager-faced fetus replied, "Doesn't she do the commercials for 1-800-CONTACTS?" OUCH!!!!! So, my 25 y/o self raised my hand and said, "no, son, she played Wonder Woman on TV." His response? "WOW!!!! Wonder Woman was a TV show????" Shoot me NOW??? LOL
