I had no idea the tomb of the unknown soldier was guarded 24/7/365 days a year.
I always assumed it was just some ceremonial busy work that our president attended once a year.
Nice to see real honor and patriotism actually being produced in our nation.
 
The Society of the Honor Guard is one of the most impressive units in the military.

Not only that but, as I recall, the same unit of the army has been the ones who guard it. I thought it was the 3rd Army but I was wrong...it is the 3rd Infanty Regiment.

Generally, with disregard for the weather. I seem to remember some 15 second controversy about the guards still being on duty during a hurricane.

Well I knew it was guarded 24/7 and its a testimony to those lost in war.
