You have a real good chance of beating it.
They have come a long way with colon cancer since my Mom had it in the late 1980's.
She beat it and has not had cancer ever since. She is now 89.

I have an aunt who had major surgery for colon cancer in 1970. She is 92 today, still drives, very active in her church, and visits the sick. She has always had a very calm personality and cared about others. Good luck!

Thank each and every one of you for the compassionate support. The first day of chemo went good. I had no bad side effects. I have been home today with a fanny pack until tomorrow where I go for treatment. It's a great hospital with a great staff.
