I Found the Bible in the Fiction Section

My question is this. People believe so fervently what is written within the Bible. They believe it is a tangible product of God's words. But, what, or should I say who, dictates what is in the Bible. If you look at history it certainly wasn't God. Nope, it wasn't any of the saints or apostles either. It was compiled by the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church assembled the Bible with translations that could only be made with educated guesses. The evaluated the different scriptures on what they saw as true. So basically, your beliefs boil down to what other people thought was true. What other people determined was viable. Not a solid foundation for your beliefs.
