I finally saw Hereditary (2018 horror film)

I watched it with a friend of mine who hated it, but he generally hates horror movies. However, I convinced him to stick with it until about the last 15 minutes, at which point he refused to watch any more and walked into the hallway to avoid watching the ending. And this is a full grown man who is about 6'4" tall. And it wasn't due to torture porn or anything like that. He was actually scared.

To me, that's the sign of a good horror movie, but it's also the sign of a movie that is not for everyone.

This movie is so dark and twisted that it's like getting an inside look at the shit that goes on within the Clinton and Podesta families.

Hitchcock's "Psycho" was scary because it didn't rely on phony digital slashing. My guess is that the millenniums who were raised on violent games confuse disgust with suspense.
