I dont understand gambling laws - at all

You can play slots in Reno - but not in calif just across the border.

But yet there are umpteen casinos with blackjack poker etc in wash st

Only reason nobody can explain gambling laws - is because nobody can..

You ever heard of "States Rights"? You DO know that there are 50 individual states that vote on their own issues right? Sometimes every year?

Just recently, a casino was voted down in nearby Gettsyburg because the local populace didn't want it.

Until there comes a law mandating gambling establishments in each state, the locals can do what they want and what they see fit.

PowerBall and MegaMillions (A tax on poor people) are legal in states that allow gambling. Simple.

Gambling doesn't exactly draw the cream of society you know, in spite of what those commercials show.

That's right! And if you start winning too much, they'll accuse you of cheating and throw your ass out!

I love Las Vegas, been there many times over the years. But I bring a set amount of money with me and when it's gone, I head for the exits.

I do. In 2004, Ed Spendell was Gov of PA and brought gambling to our state. One of the main reasons was to give much needed property tax relief to the residents of PA.

How's that working out for us? I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count.

Causes? Ineptitude and exaggeration.
