Are you talking about thanking for rep or just not thanking people in General..

I thank people quite often, if I get a kick out of their post, if I strongly agree with their point, if something they said stirs me in some way, or I don't agree but the poster made me see something from a new angle. It's just a habit for me from another forum I used to participate on. Truth be told- it's also because my mother drummed it into my head to be thankful and courteous.

Thanks for giving me a sounding board to work out my thoughts on these issues.

Thanks to those of you who disagree with me for questioning my theories, too.

I'd never advance my thinking if people who disagreed weren't there to give me alternative lines of reasoning to at least consider.
