I don't seem to recall...

I don't seem to recall going balistic and in world ending catastrophe mode at this point in the Bush II presidency. I don't think I was even griping yet on how many of his campaign promises he had falied on already...

just saying...

The Patriot Act was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001 and that didn't make you go ballistic??? You must've been asleep.

Was that a campaign promise?

Flaccid attempt at diversion from thread topic.

I was speaking of campain promises not fulfilled by bush less than one year into his term.

He promised to return honor and dignity to the White House. Can you honestly say that the Patriot Act achieved that?

"Big deal, what liberal wasn't?"

Obviously many liberals were not. Judging from the dem vote in congress and that many I knew were saying to nuke em all and let god sort em out.

On the WW2 thing, do not push it too extremes, if makes you appear flaccid.

I guess this is the only part of my post you disagreed with........ You really aren't overly bright are you? No wonder you are impressed with Obama's supposed "intellect".

What campaign promises do you recollect that Bush 2 broke? In other words what is the point of this thread with you being the originator of it--& while you apparently cannot list the promises that Bush 2 broke? Or are you just digging for some broken promises because you really don't know of any?

I know that this current President---President Obama has broken more promises in his 1st year than I still have coins in my pocket---:lol:

Ohh he is pretty smart in a politician sort of way. Which makes me dislike and distrust him.

what? you got a short circuit? you went ballistic almost immediately with "Bush stole the election." It went downhill from there.. cry us a river.

WRONG. Although I whined about the election fiasco I did not blame that on bush. Rove or Shooter maybe but I knew Bush to not be smart enough to engineer election rigging and such.

I was speaking of whining and ranting about failed election promises at under 1 yr in office. I don't recall wailing at bush not having done SS reform by then. Actually I kept waiting 8 years for the right to actually submit a reform bill. But that is another subject and just musings.

Nice diversion attempt though :clap2:

Oh how I wish Obama had failed to live up to his promises. Not only has he lived up to them (transforming the America he hates into one that the rest of us hate) he's gone far beyond that by laying the groundwork for an economic fascist state, if he doesn't collapse the economy with his massive spending and growing deficits. In his goal of redistribution of wealth, he seems oblivious to what makes socialism such a bad system - eventually you run out of other people's money.

The majority of his 'people' are Marxists like him who want to redistribute MY wealth to those who haven't done a thing to earn it. His school czar is a pedophile and proud of it. The rest of the world is laughing at him because they know he's a pantywaist. and he hasn't gained any points with his fellow Muslims for all his bowing and groveling. He was coldly received in Asia and both China and India told him to take a hike at the GW fiasco in Denmark.

He has insulted and/or betrayed most of our allies and is not respected by our enemies. Just read the foreign press. They now see him as arrogant, weak, and frighteningly unprepared for the job.

But not to worry, after a few more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, all but his staunchest far left supporters will throw him under the bus.

I'd go so far as to predict he will not serve out the full term. But don't ask me why I feel that way.

At this point under Bush we were still United after 9-11-01. We didn't fall apart until there was an election coming up.

good point. regardelss of any other effects 9-11 was the biggest political boon Bush could have been given.

Actually I did not go ballistic on Bush until I realized he was going to invade Iraq and not allow inspectors to do their job.

I have always been against the Iraq invasion, even during the freedom fries era.

And yeah I was called unamerican, unpatrriotic traitor, etc over my stance, but I held firm and was vindicated.
But at what cost in lives ours, theirs and money and generating more terrorists all the while.

That is where we will always have to disagree. I wanted to take Saddam out in 91. Nothing was between him and us but one regiment of guards. We could have been in Baghdad before he could have his afternoon tea.

Damn the UN and their 'regime change' whining. Had we finished the job properly back then, how different things would be for the Iraqi people now. And how many of our servicemen need not have died.... hindsight.

Perhaps because the ONLY thing you dumb asses had against Bush one year into his Presidency was the bullshit claims that A) he stole the election and B) he either planned or allowed 9/11 to happen.

Go ahead shit for brains list for us the promises Bush made before becoming Presidnet that he broke, failed to do or ignored by January 1 2002.

Early onset Alzheimer's.

The libs were hysteric about the totally miserable and unacceptable unemployment rate of somewhere around 5% at the time.

10% under 0bama, that is hope, change and progress

HUH? I may forget some stuff, I am not however delusional.

STUPID though, the Left made a HUGE deal about unemployment under Bush even though it was under 6 percent and anything at that level is considered full employment.

refresh my memory... did President Bush have the Wh and a SuperMajority in both houses?????

A weak diversion attempt.

Bush did not need a supermajority. His veto record proves that.

More outright IGNORANCE from you. How EXACTLY does one sign a NON EXISTANT bill into law? You can not VETO a bill into existence. The Democrats always had the numbers especially in the Senate to block any reform of Social Security. In fact they made a point of doing so. Lying to the electorate as usual. Under Clinton they all agreed that SS was going broke, then when Bush got elected they started claiming no reform was needed because Social Security was fine till 2040 or some shit.

Go ahead provide us that list and lets compare it to the MANY that Obama has failed to keep, not even tried to do or changed his mind on?

Maybe you need to check your meds. You are going to have to provide a link for that one.

At this point in his Presidency Bush was still riding the post 9-11 popularity wave

I supported Bush up until the time he invaded Iraq. It was then that I realized that the power provided to him after 9-11 was being abused
