The Israel/Palestine conflict is one that fills me with the greatest despair. I do not see it being resolved in my life time, both sides are too deeply entrenched in their views, beliefs and misconceptions. The tit for tat killings will not stop and the Prejudices, mistrust and hate will continue to pass from generation to generation. I have to hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel but I fear that the tunnel is too long and with too many obstacles for anyone to reach the light. A truly tragic state of affairs.

A child lies dead on the street
to me it matters not its origins or creed
    my eyes fill with tears
    my heart hurts from fears
for I see a never ending cycle
    a never ending cycle.

That's life. People don't get along. That's how it goes. It's like the sun and stars. Might as well get used to it. Worst mistake is to pretend human conflict can be "solved." It's never solved, just crushed out with extreme force or covered up with lies and propaganda.

True, doesn't stop the hurt though. I suppose at the end of the day all we can do is lead as good and honest a life as we can and hope the conflicts become less brutal.

Well, I agree with that. But I don't think either that we should ignore problems of human conflict. On the local level, I think we could erase many of them through racial separation.

Yes because that's worked so brilliantly in Isreal/Palestine, Nazi germany, ghettos in America and the reserves in Canada and the US.
