Yup you heard it here first, I like her and since Nikki is not going to run.

4 Reasons Tulsi Gabbard Could Shock the Media, Party Establishment - IVN.us

th

1. She served her country in the armed forces
The percentage of congressional representatives with military experience has declined steadily since the early 1970s, and today, less than 18% has military experience. Gabbard served as a Major in the Army National Guard and saw two tours overseas. As it stands today, she’s the only announced candidate with military experience whose held congressional office. Her unique record of service, both as a veteran and representative, should help insulate her from ad hominem attacks that would be lethal to any other candidate.

2. She challenges her own party
Gabbard was launched into the national conversation in 2016 when she resigned from the DNC in protest and criticized the party’s anti-democratic policies. The move marked her clearly outside the norm in terms of party politics, but it also won her widespread notoriety as someone who’s willing to challenge political orthodoxy.

4. She can admit to her mistakes
Gabbard’s unique brand of Aloha politics enables her to admit her mistakes, which no politician is immune from. It didn’t take long for her statements on gay marriage and association with her father’s organization, the Alliance for Traditional Marriage, from the early 2000’s to surface.

The 2020 Democrats: Tulsi Gabbard

Political Positions

  • Healthcare: Gabbard supports socialist healthcare in order to cover the 27 million Americans not insured under the Affordable Care Act, according to her website. She wants the government talk with pharmaceutical companies about lowering drug prices.
  • Environment: Gabbard believes in finding solutions to climate change, and she is opposed to the Keystone Pipeline.
  • Economy: Gabbard is against the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. She said that the deal, “would reduce restrictions on foreign corporations operating within the U.S., limit our ability to protect our environment, and create more incentives for U.S. businesses to outsource investments and jobs overseas to countries with lower labor costs and standards.” She wants to adjust tax policies to support the growth of small business, punish corporations for outsourcing jobs overseas, and encourage green energy businesses to set up shop in the U.S.
  • Affordable Housing: According to Gabbard, Hawaii has the highest living costs in the nation. She blames the rich for building and selling expensive homes, which don’t end up getting filled and waste space. Homelessness increased by 46 percent in two years. Gabbard said she wants to provide affordable housing, prevent houses from being “flipped and sold for profit,” and increase “flexibility to empower state and local housing agencies, as well as private owners/developers, to develop new housing units, and creating new housing options in areas where housing vouchers are difficult to use.”
  • Gun Control: Gabbard pushed for more gun control in her political career, calling for the ban of what she calls military assault weapons and supporting “comprehensive pre-purchase background checks.”
  • Abortion: On Nov 2013, Gabbard co-sponsored the Women's Health Protection Act, which sought to make certain restrictions on abortion practices illegal.
I wouldn’t mind if she was president. She’s quite intelligent. She isn’t as progressive as I would like so I prefer Bernie, but I would definitely take her over Biden.

That is why your party is so divided. Progressive is not where the country wants to be. Most are in the middle.
Plenty of people want progressivism, but they are too timid to not support Biden because he feels like a safe choice as the democrat nominee to beat Trump. I don’t blame them, but man is it unfortunate

And plenty of moderates like myself do not.

You know.....Tulsi (who is a fine human being I like her ok? ) is along with Camel toe and Sitting Bull and that man Joe...you know?they are all goners!

give it a break y'all....let it go...go away

Accept the best President ever Donald Trump ok?

God! I want him to stay forever!:2up::clap2:

She is my dark horse pick and in my opinion the most dangerous of the Democratic candidates to President Trump. He would be hard pressed to attack her as a female candidate and come out looking good. He can attack Warren because she is nutty and is annoying with her screech owl voice. Kamala Harris came off as an aggressive bitch during Kavanaugh hearings and during campaign. Because of this the public sees her as someone who can be punched back. Then there is that space cadet spiritualist, whatever her name is, she’s done. Gabbard is one to watch.

Every one of her political positions you listed are out of step with the rest of America, with the exception of TPP.

She is just another liberal airhead, repeating the same old socialist tripe. She is an embarrassment to the military because she advocates programs antithetical to our republic.
I’m just saying she is someone to watch on the Democrats side.

She's good looking as far as Democrat goes, but other than watching her lose, what is the purpose?

Thank you for posting her political positions. Now everyone can see that she is just as fucked in the head as every other Democrat in the clown car of candidates.
Yeah, but she looks good, so that'll sway a few men.

Yeah, until they see a closeup of her at the end of the long day when her make-up starts to fade and her face starts resembling the craters of the moon due to her severe scarring from acne.

we need to take extreme measures to combat climate change, so that something even more extreme doesnt happen (that we all die)

hopefully she supports that!

She deviates from the radical leftwing DNC on a few issues, so she will be destroyed by them.

Weather gauge for the Democratic Party. I think she is more centrist because of her experience as an officer in the military. She has to run left in primary campaign. But when she swings to the center in general election...look out. She can lasso plenty of moderates on Election Day 2020.

Was in the military but doesn't know the difference between military firearms and the ones civilians can purchase ?

Could be...I think she will hang in for Hawaii after Super Tuesday, and on Super Tuesday I think she can do well in California.

Funny, many say that while they would not vote (D) they support Tulsi for her military experience but yet most of those saying that voted for Trump who did everything he could to avoid joining the military.

Now I know not to vote for her.

Only thing that sets her apart from the others is her anti-interventionist attitude. In all other things, she's stock standard democrat establishment.
The anti-intervention makes the rest somewhat do-able.Just think what the unemployment rate would be if there were no military industrial mafia ? 50% or better I suspect. All you need for a military is manned silos and a few good subs and the manpower to maintain them. Iran steals a ship. SDub comes up. Tehran is flat. They wont do that any more.
Just like the spook, the two dollar beer and the bullet in the head. He wont do that any more.

I respect the service part, the rest not so much. She wants to ban firearms, that is unconstitutional and a direct violation of the oath every service member takes
