There are religious extremists are on all sides with the axis in the Holy land. President George Bush said more than once "The hand of God is guiding the affairs of this nation". Much of our government?s intelligence and information on the Middle East and Islamic affairs comes threw the pro Israel think tanks and lobbies. The Jewish religious extremists have had control of the State of Israel policies from the beginning and a growing influence over the United States Middle East Policies. Today the American people have a born again Christian fundamentalist in the White House as a "War President". This combination with the path we are on has raised the level of tension throughout the world while lowering the bar to going to war. The powerful militarist nations using collective punishment to retaliate against their adversaries often they are a people of no one nation or capital.

With no real understanding who and where the enemy is we have gone to war in the name of terrorist with modern military armies against tribal cultures who are battling within themselves. As with Christianity and Judaism there is a deep division within the Islamic culture between the old and the new ways in life. The role and relationship of the government to religion within a society is at question. Combined with the huge military industrial complex, they have raised the stakes to a point there will be no winner in the next World War. The militaristic religious nations are putting all of us in harms way.

Israel and the United States with the Judaic and Christian military industrial complexes have taken on a war with an army with no one capital or nation. It is more an ideology found within a small and growing minority of the tribal people of Islam throughout the world. Russia and the former Soviet Union have had their own on going conflicts with Islamic terrorists that some of had the backing of the United States and allies.
We are all in this world together with the answers to our global problems being found in a Universal system. Some very basic principles and fundamental rules making the foundation to a Universal system that all other international laws can grow from. The national interest or security of one nation can not dominate a region of nation or the world for what is best for that one nations self interests. Only through global cooperation of most of the nations in the world working together can the best interest of the people in the world be achieved. Only by best utilizing the global resources in the world can we do some of the many things that need to be done to make this a better world to live in. There are not the resources in the world to fight on going battles that turn into wars and to do the humanitarian projects needed to be done around the world. One has to have their own nation in order before they can really help others. Only with balance and fairness can justice be achieved with peace and security for the community of nations.

Tell us more about your universal system! Is it like socialism? Does it involve persecuting christians and jews?

Hey david. How about a link that explains more about your Universal System. We're all very interested in what you have to say.

The United Nations in concerted with other non-profit NGO?s is the only way we are going to correct some of the social, political, and economic injustices in the world today. With the support and cooperation of the governments and nations of the world the needed changes can be made to make things more humane and sane in the evolving world. Building a stronger universal platform to settle international differences and disputes among the nations around the world. Develop a universal rule of law and standards that can be applied evenly making a more level playing field. Only a strong universal organization such as the United Nations can mediate disputes fairly among different nations.

Some of the most important changes that are needed in the United Nations are the one vote veto in the United Nation Security Council by one of the five permanent members. This creates a dictatorial platform that any one of the five nations can have absolute control. Another major change that is needed is to strengthen and broaden the financial support of the United Nations. Developing a steady flow of funds from oil to help finance the United Nations in its global mission of peace and prosperity. Global social, environmental, and economic problems have to be addressed in a non-political or bias way by the international community. A permanent multi regional United Nations Peace Keeping Forces is needed to help enforce peace and improve the conditions in the region.

Oh please tell me you are joking. the UN will never establish peace in the world. Its set up to work in an archaic world.

Are you serious? What do you think muslim nations would think of this "one" "universal" rule of law that you propound will solve the world's problems??? Do you really believe that a people who believe that there is no other law other than "allah" will join a "universal" code of law??

Please, give me something better than that!!

Sorry, moving to seattle in 4 days and house is in boxes and I am tired from selling stuff...

But please, if there is going to be one world law or order, there can not be one religion that believes that it's religion is the one that should dominate the world. Jesus said, give unto to Ceasar's what is Ceasar's and unto God what is God's. God is a church, not a political party, he is much more than that.

IMHO.

The only way the UN would ever work would be if it were completely restructured:

1) the veto power of the big 5 needs to be eliminated.

2) it needs financial support far beyond what it currently has.

3) it needs to have a standing military force of significance.

4) it needs to have reasonable (but limited) control of the World Court and the World Bank.

5) it needs to have a specific doctrine of human and economic rights - and it needs to enforce these unambigously.

I don't think this is possible. The extremist nations don't want it because it would be contrary to their beliefs. The developed nations don't want it because it would be contrary to their profits. And no one wants to pay for it.

Wade.

True security for the people of the United States and world is more than defending against another 9-11 terrorist attack. The extremists who support the terrorists are on both side, they are the ones fanning the flames of war. In America you have the Neocons and Jewters with the largest military complex in the world. On the other side you have loosely linked groups of people who are fighting against oppression of their people and land combined with those who are fighting for the expansion of their religious and philosophical beliefs. They are a people with no one capitol or army but most of them descend from the Islamic culture representing a small but growing fraction of the population. Many people of Islam see their culture under attack from the modern military armies and policies of the western world mostly in their oil wealthy nations.

To every political, economical, social and military action there will be a re-action. If one nation can win the military war but can?t bring peace when does the fighting end? Without peace and security you will have neither for they both depend upon one and another. To what degree a nation or people find peace and security depends upon the policies and actions of their nation. The United States government?s re-action to the horrific event of 9-11 have only deepen the divide isolating us further from the international community of nations. Spending billions of dollars on securing the Olympics to the Liberty Bell. Turning our national historical landmarks into fortify military security zones 24/7 similar to those found throughout Israel.

Any people and or nations who support the inhumane treatment of people will loss the war over time. In too many cases the United States government as part of foreign policies supported tyrants, dictators, and greedy self-serving leaders under the banner of our national security. It is the same lost of common sense and balance that plagues our foreign policies, national policies and security. We will spend ourselves into economic bankrupts trying to secure policies with no long-term defense.

You and Wade need to team up on a thread. You're both apologists for terrorists and apparently hate the US. You could argue who is more responsible for terrorism in the world. Is it the "neocons" and "jewters" or is it the result of the shameful acts of the Republican party in specific and rapacious Americans in general? Should be interesting. You two might even fall in love.

What gives the United States the divine right to say who can and who cannot have nuclear capabilities in the world? It is acceptable for our allies such as the State of Israel to violate the Rules to International Laws while we enforce them to the letter of the law on her neighbors. For many years the Israeli government has had the worst kept secret the Dimona Nuclear Project. Unofficially it reported that Israel possess 200 to 400 nuclear warheads. On the record Israel ranking number one out of all the nations in the world in military expenditures and the amount of military weapons per-capita. Israel a religious military state ranks forth in the world for conventional arms exports per capita.

Many of Israel?s Islamic neighbors feel very threaten by the militaristic State of Israel and her actions. Historical the Arab nations and people have never been innovators in the military world of weapons and armies. Most of the modern military weapons bought, traded or sold in the Middle East are made in the western industrial nations or Russia. The United States consist military aid to the State of Israel has escalated the military arms race in the Middle East to a point it is out of control. This military arms race has been a great disadvantage to the Arab people especially the Palestinian people. Only the State of Israel and the United States military industrial complex has profited from this military arms race with the wealthy Arab oil nations paying all the way.

The United States government morally and financially supports the State of Israel acts of terror committed on a daily basis onto the Palestinian society. Almost every nation?s government in the world believes the Palestinian people are the victims in this life long conflict except for the United States government and a few well-connected American Jewish groups. Too much of our government?s intelligence information on Middle Eastern Affairs comes from sources close to Israel. The Middle East would be a much safer place if no one had any nuclear weapons including the State of Israel.
