I am a Capitalist: And Your Problem with Me Is?

Greed. Capitalism spawns greed in the hands of the people holding the tools and the products of labor, this is not only a capitalism problem and if people could keep greedy hands out of the cookie jar then they would have a couple thousand years ago, but it is still a great issue, maybe if the tools and created products were given freely to the workers who all worked together to make a good product and share the money/resources generated by the product, then there would be a solution, whether it would work I don't know but it's worth a shot isn't it, but it will never be given a shot because of the way capitalists have stigmatized anything that even rhymes with socialism.

Sorry that wont work.

Freely given is rarely valued. Earned is valued. Thats what makes capitalism a good thing.

The problem is ( and this is directed to everyone ) we dont have capitalism in this country.

Oh i see, so according to you criticizing a economic symptom means you have a problem with people who are in that system... My prolbem with you is that youa re stupid

There should be a period or at least a comma after "see". You misspelled problem.

But you addressed the topic rather nicely. Oh wait. No. You said nothing about that either. Perhaps it was confusing for you.

I STRONGLY ADVOCATE CAPITALISM!

So. Want to take a crack at an issue or don't you do that?

You actually havent pointed to an issue yet.

Youve said that a criticism of capitalism is a criticism of you personally which is a false equililency.

Now if you asked what is my problem with capitalism, then my answer would be I dont have a problem with capitalism at all. And if we lived in a capitalist society, we could talk about its merits all night and day long.

As we do not, your question is both vague and irrelevant to the issues we actually face.

I guess you missed an earlier post. I came across some Occupy people today with a sign that said "Capitalism Sucks" so I explained I own a business and asked them what their problem was with we capitalists. Everyone drew a blank. So I thought I'd post it here and see if anyone had anything of substance to offer. Thusfar, nil.

Seriously. I own a business. I put people to work. I take care of my family.

So those of you who criticize capitalism: What's your problem with me?
LOGIC would tell you there are two forms of Capitalist entities.
Scumbags like Walmart and Monsanto, and people like you who they eventually put out of business.

Commie cranium command abhores independent logic.

Suprisingly enough, this phenomenon occurs in capitalist organizations as well.

Nice illiteration!

I happened across some Occupy Wall Streeters today during lunch. One had a sign saying "Capitalism Sucks!".
So I stopped and asked them why. None of them really had any reasoning at all. One did have some valid points about income disparity being equal to what it was during the Great Depression but that was it.
So I figured I'd post to see if anyone here had anything of substance to say.
Apparently not.

ahhh...but thats not what you asked, is it, sir?

You asked what our problem with YOU would be. Not the same thing at all.

Perhaps you would like to reword your original post? If not, pm me and Ill happily debate the merits or lack of merits of our current system

Sure. Whatever. I mean a LOT of people here take this place REALLY seriously. I don't. Like I said, I just asked some occupiers the same question and after they came up blank, thought it would be fun to ask the same question here. (did he say "FUN"??? Gasp!!!)
So okay. Let's here your debate on the merits of our current system.

FWIW the problem with our current version of capitalism is he who controls the SPECIE actually ends up controlling (hence perverting) the system

And that problem is not unique in capitalist nations, either, is it? IN fact that seems to be the way modern capitalism work, isn't it?

As to YOUR role is our capitalist system?

You are not part of the problem, you are a nobody.

You are just another sheep to be sheared by the MASTERS, sport.

Just like the vast majority of us.

The reason those occupies say capitalism sucks is thy are fools. They like many others think our system is actually what capitalism is. They are wrong.

In a truly capitalist state, the externalization of corporate costs onto the taxpayer would be disallowed. Businesses would either stand or fall on their own merits.

As that isn't what we have, the confused public sees only the problems and assumes that Capitalism sucks. When in reality, what we have is a Corporate Socialist state, where the means of production are owned privately but propped up publicly through subsidies, tax loopholes/breaks and externalization of corporate costs onto the public.

Seriously. I own a business. I put people to work. I take care of my family.

So those of you who criticize capitalism: What's your problem with me?

A friend of mine from Chicago told me about a commercial he just saw. They were interviewing a local businessman who just bought land and was putting up a factory and the reporter asked him what his place for the space were and his response was "outgrow it"

And that my friends is what made America great

What do you find objectionable about capitalism? Nothing? Anything?
(Let me know if I need to use smaller words)

Greed. Your system has a guaranteed 100% Fail Rate and a long track record of proven failure.

It's failed every time in every place it's been tried

You'd think at some point you'd get the hint.

It's not a question of scope either. Your failed ideas are now driving down the US economy

Time to get back to what works and what's always worked: freedom, choice, free markets, free enterprise

What is wrong with capatlism? My GAWD man, do you not see it? Why in capatalism there are winners and there are losers. And yes, those that refuse to play, are losers as well according to you capatalists.

Why in this PC world of ours where the left mews like a bunch of kittens, you can't have winners and losers. Well, you can, but naturally the winners have to be penalized for winning. And quite frankly, if you even play, you have to be penalized. Those evil 1% are just absolutely the most evil people in the world because they won't pay their FAIR share. Which of course means that we have to pay people who do not want to participate. And we do that by putting a gun to your head and STEALING from you in the name of social justice.

And the fact that you even participate in such an UNFAIR system means that you are as evil as the 1%. You obviously buy into this evil, unfair system which means that you are a tool of the 1%.

I'm so surprised you don't see this...

Why is it that people who worked for the biggest union and socialist program in the US, the US military, seem to think they have a clue as to how capitalism functions?

Actually a solid post. I would advise against you going into a career as a Motivational Speaker though....

Seriously. I own a business. I put people to work. I take care of my family.

So those of you who criticize capitalism: What's your problem with me?

Nothing other than the fact it is your customers who put people to work.

So your problem with capitalists is that we have customers?

Fuck off, Loser

Depending on how one frames it, capitalism has all sorts of problems. But it is by far and away the best system around. Without capitalism, we'd still have the living standards we had in 1800. There is no system that has created the highest living standards for the most people. Not even close.
