You understand the difference between an investigation and a trial, right? They run a Stalinist House Impeachment Investigation; and then, as soon as they encounter the Senate trial, they continuously cry about it being unfair!

Does anyone get to call their own witnesses in an investigation?
You're dodging the question .You understand the difference between an investigation and a trial, right? They run a Stalinist House Impeachment Investigation; and then, as soon as they encounter the Senate trial, they continuously cry about it being unfair!

Does a trial in a court of law have the same person or people as judge and jurors?

The point, which is clearly lost on you, is that the impeachment and impeachment trial are unique. They do not fit the mold of what we typically think of as an investigation and trial. They are by nearly all measures purely political, with neither criminal or civil rules of law implications.
You guys keep saying that, but there were first hand witnesses. You understand the difference between an investigation and a trial, right? They run a Stalinist House Impeachment Investigation; and then, as soon as they encounter the Senate trial, they continuously cry about it being unfair!

An investigation that lacks 1st hand witnesses does not proceed to trial.
A trial based on hearsay reeks of a kangaroo court and should never have been convened!

You have no point.
