Hurricane is now heading straight towards us.
The storm has weakened to 100 mph.
That's a completely different animal than 115+.
So we are staying home.

So 115 is a big deal but 100 isn't? OK.....
Not sure where you are but FYI "only" 100mph hurricanes (and Irene is somewhat less than that now) can be extremely dangerous, and this one is no exception. It isn't just about wind speed, but the extensive flooding, which is the biggest concern about Irene. The storm has weakened to 100 mph.

Yes.
I've been through God knows how many of these hurricanes.
It will be 85 mph by the time it gets to us.
You're right, it's just a hurricane. No big. Why don't you go sailing on off Carolina shores tonight and let us know what a yawn it is?...
Only a moron would do that.
The power is out. Thank God for mobile broadband.
The wind and the rain are suprising light right now. We only had one mini burst of rain and wind, but it was enough to knock out the power. Too many trees around the power lines.

I wonder what the Navy and Coast Guard would say to that accusation.........
