DAYTONA BEACH, FLA
There was a wild and dangerous ending to Saturday’s DRIVE4COPD at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday.

While Tony Stewart won the race, a multi-car accident triggered on the final lap, sheared off the nose and tail of Kyle Larson’s car, sending his suspension and a tire into the grandstands.

Despite the joy of Stewart’s win, he was obviously shaken by the aftermath.

“It will be better when I hear news that all the drivers and the fans in the stands are OK,” Stewart said. Sam Hornish Jr., Alex Bowman, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Parker Kligerman rounded out the top five.

Larson, Justin Allgaier and Brad Keselowski were all seen and released from the infield care center.

At least six fans sustained injuries when parts of Kyle Larson's car flew into the stands at the conclusion of Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

A track worker told Yahoo! Sports that one woman had a tourniquet on her leg, others suffered burns and a tire landed on one fan when a multiple-car accident unfolded as drivers raced for the finish line in the final lap of the Drive4COPD 300.

That was awesome.

Second, third, fourth, and fifth places went across the finish line sideways.

They couldn't do that again if they tried.
