Update on the Hubble Space Telescope Safe Mode

Not bad for a very complex system that hasn't been serviced for nine years.

Back when it was first launched into orbit I remember it had some major problem that resulted in more people being sent into space to "fix" it. I never believed that for a minute. They wanted to do something in space they didn't want anyone else to know and that was the cover. To put it in perspective, We gonna build this high tech machine, a telescope that will be placed in orbit, we can't get it back easily if ever, we can't go up and work on it easily without massive expense and risk, and we don't make sure it works? lmao!

From what I've read, it's already many years past what it was designed for.
