How would you feel if...

Is it not a matter of public record?

It required a Freedom of Information Request, so if a criminal wants that information they have to fill out paperwork to get the information. Far different than just opening today's paper.

Pretty simple, if your house is broken into, civilly sue the paper. Most small town papers are paper thin margins, a few lost cases and they fold.

They know which ones to hit when the gun owners are at work.

Unless, of course, the dingbats take ALL of their guns to work with them every day.

Next, we'll hear of metal detectors in order to find out who is packing and can send the home to leave their guns.

Or, if the business supports having armed employees, they can stay.

GAWD. Guns at work. We're getting crazier and stupider every day.

The nutters really will turn us into a police state, everyone armed, ready to shoot it out at the water cooler.

I used to carry to work. All day, the weapon was locked in my desk and I only strapped up when I left at 5.
I generally had several women waiting at my office door, all of whom I accompanied up the alley at quitting time.(nasty section of town)
I saw each one to their car and made sure they were able to leave before getting to my motorcycle that was always parked withing sight of the lone security guard.
One night, after the last of my charges had driven off, a wide eyed disheveled man walked towards me fro the other side of the alley. His right hand was behind his back. He just looked like someone to be wary of.
He asked, "Hey man. You got a cigarette?. Actually, I had a pack of smokes in my shirt pocket and said, "Sure". I unzipped my leather jacked and reached for the smokes right behind the grips of the Smith and Wesson model 629.
My friend, apparently gave up smoking and took up jogging. as he turned, I plainly saw the steak knife in his right hand.
Thankfully, I didn't have to unholster the weapon.

Things like that happen all the time and go unreported, but you libs would rather the women I saw to their cars got assaulted, or I got knifed or robbed.
Fuck ya all!

Actually no, I'd rather you think more creatively than the hit-the-problem-over-the-head mentality. And I'd rather you hadn't taught the guy with the steak knife that if he wants to succeed in his chosen profession he'd better escalate his armory. Because the next time that happens, what you're packing ain't gonna be enough. That's a dead end.

You make a great number of assumptions POGO, but then, I have come to expect that type of simplistic, unrealistic answer from you.

The local gun club should do a little research on the reporters and editors, post their names, addresses, and phone numbers along with a listing of all assets the assholes have, and their schedules. Make sure to include in the ad that they are adamantly anti-gun, thus unarmed.

Excellent. I knew somebody could think of another verb... so now we're up to:

"Fire" Bob Costas...
"Deport" and "torture" Piers Morgan...
"Imprison" David Gregory...
"Publish the personal info of" newspaper personnel who post the already-public info on gun owners...

"See" the pattern.

It gets more and more obvious.

By the way -- if carrying guns is the secret to life and all -- why are G-owners so ashamed of being published?
Are not the names and addresses of newspaper collumnists "Public Information"? or should FOI only apply to Liberal causes?

How should I have reacted then, idiot? When you are about to be robbed or knifed, I think advocating rehabilitation for your would-be attacker is pretty damned low on the list of priorities. There is a time for platitudes and a time for action.

Or are you saying I should have shot him so he wouldn't upgrade his weaponry?

Pogo doesn't grasp the list exposes who doesn't have a gun. lol

The reporter and editor shouldn't have shot their mouths off so to speak. That article was loaded.

I guess its time to identify the hen houses for the fox. Now, what would happen if one of those non identified homes actually had a person in possession of a non registered loaded gun, furthermore knew how to use one? I guess that would be a bad day for someone.

I love it. Nutbag douches choose to live in a nutbag socialist state. They elect nutbag douche socialists to governemnt and support nutbag douche businesses. Then they complain when nutbag douche shit happens.

Froth on.....

It could be, but that's speculation.

Like this is:
Pretty simple, if your house is broken into, civilly sue the paper. Most small town papers are paper thin margins, a few lost cases and they fold.

And like this is:
It is a matter of public record, but isn't really sweet that a newspaper did all the research and made the criminals' "jobs" easier?

Hell, assumptions and empty speculation are the balsa wood that's supposed to be holding this thread up.

I promised I'd mention the neg-rep I got for daring to disagree in the latest list so:
"Fire" Bob Costas...
"Deport" and "torture" Piers Morgan...
"Imprison" David Gregory...
"Publish the personal info of" newspaper personnel who post already-public info on gun owners...
"Neg-rep" posters who dare not to hold a gun-zealot position...

"See" the pattern.

Wow, I'm up there with the TV talking heads. I think I've just been insulted.

On the assumption that you don't forfeit those details for public viewing when you get a firearms license in America, I'd demand to know who or where released my private/personal details to the media. Then I'd sue them.

You would lose, or actually the lawsuit would never even be entered in.
Freedom of information act is what they used - which unfortunately makes this legal.

I don't see how it's legal to violate someone's privacy rights.

POGO's assuming again, again and again.

Besides liberals when they are defending the "right" to abortion who says anyone has a right to privacy?

Immie

Sure it is. If I can find your name in the paper, and your address in the phonebook or online, and if I drive by your house and make a list of the things I see, that's perfectly legal and public.

So much for targeting gun owners and protecting fascist pigs.

Do you know what non sequitur means?

Hint: It does NOT mean "I don't have a rational argument against your point, so I will pretend that what you say has nothing to do with the discussion."

Oh yeah I do. I'm finding that video very useful here.
When I put it up it means "what you just posted is an incoherent ramble that makes no point".

Interesting, maybe someone should publish the names and addresses of all those that have had an abortion, better yet, print the names and addresses of all those households that did not file their tax returns for 2011. How about publishing the names and addresses of those that owe taxes! How about publishing the names and addresses of all those on public assistance under the age of 60. Heck we could have some fun with the freedom of information act.

'Gun-maps' okay for the 'little people'.
Bet we don't see 'gun-maps' for Hollywood celebrities, politicians, corporate executives, sports figures, etc., etc..

Except what she posted was perfectly clear and made a valid point.

You just have no answer for it -- so you pretend she's incoherent.

Coward.

Is it not a matter of public record?

A big difference getting off your ass and maybe having to go to City Hall or some branch
of government and waiting on line, filing out a form, providing ID and maybe waiting to get that info_Or having it made available in a newspaper for all to see.

Is that not clear to you.
Were you not able to figure that out?....

And I would note you're an asshole, had you not already made the point with that avatar.
Once again you're butting in to an exchange that had nothing whatsoever to do with you. Seems to be a habit. Who do you think you are-- the government?

How exactly would I "answer" a rambling rant that has no point?
OK, here's my answer: "42".

Satisfied .... :asshole: ?

Near as I can tell all of our mods and admin are in good health, so no one died and left you in charge of anything.

You are a simpleton hack who folds at the slightest challenge. That is precisely why myself and others will happily await your next rant.
