Motive? Because Obama's views are not about 'America'... He's got much bigger fish to fry. He's a socialist. His view is that all countries, all workers, all individuals - across the world - should be 'vanilla', with none more important than the other.

With the absence of fanatic idioligy I have found that money without conscience is always where the motivation comes from. It may be disguised as something more palatable but it is always the money that buys the influence that makes the policy. If what you theorize is true the only reason to make us all the same is to make everyone a customer. It's always about the money. I believe Obama is forced to do more for the money people than he has done from his own motivation. I believe every new president is given a "talk" about who really runs the show.

Everything in Obama's past is about community organizing. He's a socialist. He hates business, he hates the concept of 'power'. I don't think he likes the whole 'superpower' thing. He wants us to be just another country - on an equal footing with other countries. That may be fine and dandy by Obama. Personally, since there will always be countries who have and countries that have not, I would rather the USA was a 'have', and I would rather the world fear us than walk all over us.
