How will Sandy affect the election if at all?

Will she make candidates look bad or linger long enough to be an issue on election day?

I noticed Romney cancelled two events so as to not use up first responders

It's not much of an opportunity for Romney. Obama, however, as CIC, will be in the spotlight doing what president's do in these situations. Maybe it sways votes, maybe not.

It helps Obama by taking the focus off Benghazi.

It also creates a situation where he looks presidential.

It hurts him because early voting in Philly will be curtailed.

It will destroy him if Eastern Pennsylvania is dark on the 6th...Republicans would swim naked thru a mountain of red hot razor blades to vote against him....his constituency can barely be cajoled to get off the couch.

Not at all except on this board to where:

If the President remains at the White House, he's given up
If the President goes campaigning, he's insensitive

Obama won Pennsylvania when Romney was nominated.

Nobody is focused on Behgazzi except for right wing loons.

Nah, because of where the storm is headed he is where he needs to be. Coordinating an emergency response however does not require multiple tv appearences unless he's intentionally politicizing it.

You just might want to check where he was when he decided to go back to bed.

Yep. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

We saw how Mittens acts and talks in the face of national need - he blamed Obama.

Obama simply gets it done. There are a lot of people who are glad Mittens ("end FEMA") isn't going to be deciding who gets federal aid and who goes without. And, unless they vote on giving more money to one percenters, the Rs won't do anything at all.

Nonsense.

Face it, no matter what our President does, he'll be wrong and criticized for it by the same people who will be the first to tell you how impartial they are.

All I was saying is we don't need weather updates from the president.

Remember the last hurricane up the east coast? Obama acted like it was the second coming and it was nearly a dud.

I'm actually thinking you may get the electoral surprise of a Red New York State result. As I understand it, isn't Upstate New York fairly Republican? If the NYC and the more southern reaches are dark on that Tuesday, you might see that state surprise everyone.

Depending on the outcome of the election, it will most likely be used as a reason to declare voting in those areas invalid because all those poor, disenfranchised voters...you know, the same ones who are too stupid and lazy to get photo ID...will be unable to make it to the polls to vote.

You saying you wouldn't demand the right to vote in this election, if all the polling places around you were closed due to weather?

Of course I would. I would do anything legal and moral to vote...including acquire the required identification to establish my bona fides as a legal voter. I am not the person making assumptions about the party affiliation of the demographic I described.

No, what you're doing is complaining that the other side will be take legal steps for voters who were disinfranched due to servely bad weather, while assuring us you would demand your right to vote if it was denied due to weather.

The circle of hypocrisy is complete.

What "other side" would that be, dearie? Please explain just where the hypocrisy exists? Why is it that liberals appear to believe that their "side" includes the lazy, stupid, incapable?
I also agreed that I would do what was needed to ensure I could cast my ballot. If the "other side" were too stupid, lazy, or otherwise incapable of doing the same, too bad.
