How were the Nazi's able to get away with killing so many Jews in their own country?

When I took history in High School, we were shown films of Germans being shown video of the Nazi death camps and the enormous number of Jews killed. Piles of reading glasses. Gold melted down from teeth fillings, mountains of shoes and so on.

Many Germans claimed to have no idea this was going on.

Hitler was tricky. He convinced his people that these Jewish interlopers were taking German jobs and getting government help that should have gone to Germans. We know that for the ignorant, these tactics work well.

So the Jews were rounded up and sent to camps in remote areas. The press wasn't allowed in. Germans who weren't "dedicated soldiers" of Hitler weren't allow in. In this way, atrocities were kept secret. And those loyal to Hitler defended him. Many, not even knowing what they were defending. Of course, some were evil and even knowing what was going on, didn't care or even approved.

Camps in remote areas?
Dirt walls being built up so no one outside could take pictures?
Detainee's being secretly moved?
Elected public officials being refused entry?
Video and pictures provided by the Government?

Where else have we seen such tactics?

He was able to do it, not based off you fiction, but b/c germans 'knew' that it was jews working with jews to fuck over germany at the end of WW1.

however the FDR did much of what hitler did
it also occurs in russia, china, NK, vietnam, cambodia, many african nations, some central - south American nations.

You are out of touch with reality. Whatever happened in those camps, their official purpose was "concentration". The "Final Solution" consisted of the deportation of the Jews to Madagascar.
Also, the Jews were not immigrants, respectively, they were immigrants centuries ago, when they were invited by some King or something to help stimulating the economy. Problems with Jews were entirely about their position on the financial market because it is was not ruly for a Christian to demand interest. The Jewish bound of German soldiers is an example that Jews felt quite German before Hitler.
Second, you talk about a brutal, oppressive regime and on the other hand you demand the Germans to stand up. If people had known about killings in the camps, this would not have constituted a good reason to stand up unless you wanted to end up there too. The Weiße Rose people who tried to alert the people with fliers were beheaded in the end.
All the "evil nazi citizens" thought they were right.

I know it's pointless to use these forums as methods of spreading education and knowledge for the Deanies kidz, but for the Peanut Gallery's edification, there weren't many German Jews relative to the totals killed, maybe 200 or 300 thousand. Many of the wealthier ones managed to escape. The vast majority of those killed were Polish, Russians, or other Slav country peoples, and the Operation Reinhardt camps were not in Germany, they were in Poland, Sobobor, Treblinka, etc. and only operated for a short time and then after the 'customers' dwindled they were shut down and buried and otherwise hidden by mid 1943 or so, iirc. There were smaller camps, but mostly there were just ditches for the smaller populated areas, as in the Balkans, Romania, etc, and Russian villages. Itzhak Arad estimates in his excellent book on the Reinhardt camps that the final toll for those was between 3.5 to 4.5 million. He uses railroad train schedules and the like for his estimates.

The Nazis really hate this book, so I highly recommend it and rate it among the best of the books on the camps.

The vast majority of them would lose their careers if they ever admitted their policies and corruption are entirely responsible for the several failures going in black culture at this point in time, most especially education. They lobbied for, and Nixon gave them, a quota system to replace Affirmative Action, and this got many of the teachers unions off the hook when it came to having to provide genuine improvements and higher standards for black education, just for starters, a very big starter. This fundamental failure is a primary reason for a lot of the other dysfunctional cultural failures.

This fiasco, and many others, are covered in fine detail in Hugh Davis Grahams' epic history, The Civil Rights Era, a must have for everyone genuinely concerned about what needs to be done and what not to do in the future re culture wars, racism, government over-reach, etc. Seriously, this book is a 'must read'.
