How to rejuvenate the mining industry

There is currently a bill in idaho that will mandate citizens pay their taxes in gold or silver and I know that all you lefties will think this is backwards but think of that jobs it will create as the demand for gold and silver rejuvenates the local mining industry. Citizens will need the alloy to pay their taxes so mines will go into overdrive trying to keep up with demand. This creates jobs and good paying jobs since mining usually pays a lot.
